The Space

This is an elegant and well-appointed Victorian terraced house in the heart of Cambridge. It is 75m from Jesus Green and 600m from Great Saint Mary's - the most central point of the city. It is a charming house with 1 double bedroom and 3 single bedrooms [two of which can be easily convert to twin rooms] and a double sofa bed in the drawing room. There is also a single guest bed in the snug.

The well-proportioned first floor drawing room has an open fire. The house has been sympathetically restored within its original Victorian character, and a programme of refurbishment to ensure all modern comforts are available has just been completed.

In addition to the drawing room, snug and bedrooms there is a dining room, a light, spacious and modern kitchen and two bathrooms. There is a gravelled/paved garden area for sitting out - there are tables and chairs for ten people.

Street parking is available about 50m from the house, and there is a Local Authority car park just 175m away. There are shops very nearby.

NOTE - booking of three nights or less might attract an additional charge for laundry. Stays of more than three nights do not attract such a charge. THIS CHARGE CAN BE AVOIDED IF YOU BRING YOUR OWN BED LINEN AND TOWELS.

The house is warm and comfortable and enjoys a location second to none - this is in fact, the most central house available on any web site.

  • Enjoyed staying here. Was a great place to base our visit to Cambridge. The house is within walking distance of some excellent pubs and restaurants and the walk to central Cambridge is short and enjoyable. The house itself is very comfortable and suited our needs exactly. Would definitely recommend for others. If you have a car, finding parking is quite difficult however. There is free on street parking about 1/4 mile away on another street, but finding a vacant spot is very hit and miss.

  • I visited Cambridge for the weekend with my wife, 2 boys and my Mum. The house was great - fully met our needs. Jonathan was welcoming and very helpful. I accidentally left a bag behind and he's been super-helpful in getting it back to me in Edinburgh. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  • Thank you for a lovely stay in Cambridge, Jonathan. We enjoyed a family trip and it was our first time in Cambridge. The house was good value and very central location.

  • The house was exactly what we needed. Although not as large as I expected we had enough space for 4 couples to have a very comfortable stay. The location really is excellent. In just 10 minutes on foot we were in the centre of town. We had the top floor bedroom in which the bed was exceedingly comfortable and the kitchen was very well-equipped. Overall outstanding value. Many thanks.

  • I must admit, when we arrived at the property I was a little apprehensive but once through the front door, it was a different story. A lovely, homely and very well equipped property that was just perfect for our family reunion to celebrate my son's graduation.
Spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable for the 5 of us. It took about 15 mins to walk to central Cambridge and there was free on street parking approx 10 mins walk away.
This property is highly recommended - wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

  • I was taking a group of 10 to a ball in my old college. I hadn't been back to Cambridge in 10 years (I live overseas) and the group included Mom, 3 aunts from Ireland, 2 sisters and a friend from Melbourne. It meant so much to be together, and Jonathan's home accommodated us superbly. We slept well in comfortable beds, enjoyed Pimms in the garden and ate together in the beautiful dining room. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
