Living room, deck and two of your hostesses. (They are very quiet and laid back and love to welcome you home!)
Walk to everything- Right off Caledonia where the locals dine, shop, drink, play... 5 minute walk to downtown and the ferry to San Francisco. Located in the sunbelt with stunning views of Angel Island, Belvedere, the Bay and the Harbor.
If you need a place to get away or just to get to know the area before you move here permanently, you have found the perfect spot. But please note that I can not accommodate last minute reservations. I always have my home professionally cleaned before my guests arrive.
My place sits hillside in the Sausalito "banana belt" (that means the sunny, warmest area- be cautious of the south end of town dubbed "hurricane gulch" by the locals!) All views overlook sailboats in the marina, the Bay, Belvedere and Angel Island, across the Bay to the city of Oakland and the Bay Bridge. I am located just off Caledonia street which is the locals hub offering the best Sausalito restaurants, shops, yoga & palates studio's, gourmet grocery store, the theater, wine bars, etc... Just beyond that is the famous downtown area where all the tourists meander about through local shops and art galleries. You can also catch the short ferry ride from there to San Francisco's famous Pier 39 or the San Francisco Ferry Building. You can literally walk to anything!
My home is quiet and peaceful and there are views from every window.
Your room is quiet and cozy and there is closet space and a desk. The rest of my place is decorated nicely and I want you to make yourself comfortable and enjoy your adventure. I have a huge deck to hang out on and take in the most beautiful panoramic views of almost anywhere in the world. Having grown up in the Bay Area, I am an excellent tour guide and am happy to help you plan your days. Perhaps you want to ride cable cars, climb Coit Tower or see the museums around Golden Gate Park? Or spend the day in the wine country? I'll make sure you get the most out of your visit.
Kitchen is open for your use. Wireless Internet, cable and parking. I will give you the lay of the land and steer you in whatever direction it is you seek.
Two things: There are almost 80 stairs to my front door (VIEWS), and I have dogs that will want to welcome you home by allowing you to rub their stomachs. ;)
Your (potty-trained) dog is welcome if he/she gets along with other dogs (small fee). I have a dog run in the backyard. If you plan to leave your dog unattended for long periods of time, I will care for them for an extra fee, or there is a doggy daycare 5 minutes away.
Easy access to the 101 freeway. 5 minutes over the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco. 15 minutes to downtown San Francisco without traffic. (But I usually ferry over!) Sonoma Wineries- 30 minutes, Napa Wineries, 40 minutes, Dry Creek WIneries 50 minutes. Dog-friendly Rodeo Beach just 5 minutes. Golden Gate National Park surrounds Sausalito with endless hiking trails. Bike, stand-up-paddleboards, and Kayak rentals are also available within walking distance!

Some of my guests are off doing there own thing, others are calling and texting me throughout their stay for help. I am available as much as you need me to be.
EVERYTHING. I couldn't live in a better location. Everything- dining, movies, yoga, pilates, library, parks, the ferry, shopping, nightlife, museums, beaches.... All are within a 5 minute walk. I'm also in the sunniest part of town. We have many micro-climates in Sausalito!
You can get on public transit 2 minutes outside my door and walk to the ferry in 10.
NO SMOKING. Please clean up after yourself in the kitchen. My dogs love other dogs- dogs are welcome for small charge. If you have a pup with you and you need to take off for the day, as long as he or she is friendly and potty-trained, he or she is welcome to hang out during short term rentals. Small fee for doggie-daycare.
Laura was very welcoming. She is a great communicator, and even texted me beforehand to give me heads-up on the weather.
She is a wonderful host, and her place is bright and clean. She also pointed out places to eat/visit from her deck with a gorgeous view.
Her place is located within distance of everything you could need. She also gave us a terrific recommendation for where to grab a bite to eat on the way home.
Sausalito is a beautiful town, and her central location is a great place to stay if you want to visit this gorgeous town by the bay.
I stayed at Laura's beautiful place in Sausalito for 4 nights. Laura was really welcoming and I got along with her great. The place was really clean and modern with views over the bay from her deck. A super comfy bed and a nice room with Wi-Fi. When im next in SF ill definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to others.
Laura was a great host, flexible to accommodate my time of arrival and made me feel more welcome than a hotel, as did her girls (3 lovely dogs).
Her place was awesome, beautiful views, location was great, far enough away from the tourists shops & restaurants and perfect for the local restaurants. The 12-15 min walk to the ferry was convenient, hiring bikes etc - very good, will definitely consider going back when I visit again.
The room was perfect, comfortable bed with a desk to do some work if needed, wifi worked well, and great coffee.
Laura was available on the phone to deal with any of my queries, which was a great help. Thanks Laura
This was my first Airbnb experience so wasn't sure what to expect.
Laura was a welcoming host and made me feel comfortable in her very nice home w/ a gorgeous view. She even went out of her way to drop me off to meet some friends for breakfast.
The location is perfect for walking to anywhere in Sausalito. Would highly recommend and stay again if Laura wouldn't mind. :)
What a wonderful space! The living room has a big sliding glass door to a large deck, so, whether you're inside or outside, you have a gorgeous view overlooking the bay, the boats on the water and the lights of other homes in the hills. The guest bedroom is a good size with a very comfy bed, ample closet space, a bedside table, a good-sized desk and 2 chairs (whether for laptop, makeup, whatever) and 2 big windows, one of which provides a view of a gorgeous large tree and additional views, through the trees, of the sky and water. Lovely! Also, the location is just off Caledonia (parallel to Bridgeway), so you have a choice of two major streets for a slew of excellent restaurants, as well as 2 groceries, a cinema, a couple of pubs, the library and shopping . (It's also a short walk to the Golden Gate Transit bus lines on Bridgeway.) So you have all those conveniences, but also feel tucked away above it all when you get up to Laura's space. ... In addition, Laura is a terrific host, thoughtful, upbeat and well organized -- as well as being the owner/"parent" of 3 of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet.
I just love Sausalito, and Laura's place is a great place to stay. The view from the balcony is just beautiful. Laura's a great host, always in good spirits, friendly, and makes you feel at home. And the commute to SF via Bus and Ferry was very convenient as well. Couldn't have wished for more.
Best location and views!! You will not find a more impressive view of Sausalito ANYWHERE. Laree's patio is like having your own private show of the harbor. Sit out in the daytime and watch the fog roll in, or in the evening when you will catch the most amazing sunsets replaced at night by twinkling harbor lights. The apt is serene and peaceful & has everything you need to feel at home--including a state of the art 3D TV if you just want to relax and be entertained after a long day of sightseeing. :) Here, you are located right in the heart of the "real" Saualito with its charming small shops and eateries. But the bustle of downtown is just a 10 min walk away if you prefer. And if you are lucky enough to be here when Laree and her adorable pups are at home, you are in for a real treat! The day my dog saw me packing up the car to leave Laree's, she ran outside and hid under a bush because she didn't want to go. I think that says it all! :)

I am active, play sports- soccer, cycling, golf, trail running, etc... Love wine, great restaurants and exploring new places. I grew up all over Northern California and am an excellent tour guide. If you want me to plan your day in the wine country, I'll map out the must see's, do's, wines to taste and places to eat. I know SF like the back of my hand and will make sure you see everything you have on your list! I'll direct you to the best beaches and best restaurants in San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma & Marin. I welcome and enjoy meeting new people and hope this is a fun adventure for both my guests and myself.
