The spacious, light filled two bedroom apartment, is situated on a very quiet cobblestone street within the old city walls of medieval Tallinn and is within walking distance of all major Tallinn attractions restaurants and bars. The apartment offers a working antique/ tiled wood stove, a Jacuzzi tub, as well as internet and cable connection.
An abundance of museums, old churches and restaurants are just minutes away. The Holy Ghost church, a medieval building (parts of the construction date from the 13th century) is to be found at the top of our street, as is the Tallinn city museum, housed in a 14th century merchants dwelling. Located at bottom of our quiet meandering cobblestone way is the hotel Schloessle a 5 star accommodation.
And just in case you thought Tallinn was only meant to be visited in the summer, I would like to reveal to you that during its dark and snowy months, Tallinn is one of the most romantic cities in Europe. Candle lighted cafes, an abundance of open fires in warm and welcoming restaurants, lively bars. Fewer tourists.
Autumn also brings the Dark Nights Film Festival, an international collection of some of the best and most talked about films of the year. A highlight for all of Scandinavia, and every theater in walking distance from the apartment.
It is also signal for the beginning of the music season. A time of chamber recitals, concerts and opera.
And as Christmas approaches, so does the construction of the Christmas Market in the Old Town Square. Said to be one of the best, if not the best market in all of Europe. Unique and finely crafted gifts are in abundance, as is gluh wine and Christmas cheer.
Respect the neighbours and have a good time.
Central location 2 bed apt was great. We literally were just a block from the town square. Very spacious building and charming cottage/rustic look inside.
Anu was extremely helpful getting us set up upon arrival. Even arrived somewhat late (20:15) but that wasn't a problem. She made sure we felt comfortable using anything in the house, including appliances, heating, etc. She also made herself available so we could contact her at any time with questions.
Very nice apartment with good location. We stayed for two nights and couldn't be happier. We found the place easily and Anu was waiting us outside the building. The street was quiet but restaurants, shops and cafes were just around the corner. I would rent this place again.
Location of the apartment was totally great! It is in old town by quiet street where are basically no cars and in center close to every attractions. Anu was great host, showing how things work so we didn't have problems with anything. Apartment was clean and nice, in kitchen there was everything needed. And also there is the spirit of old building and atmosphere!
The neighbourhood is perfect, exceptional atmosphere. We arrived and everything was as in should be. Easy access. Very warm as we we arriving in February, this was great! Wayne was very courteous and welcoming, and one of his friends met us when we arrived - very helpful lady. Great atmosphere in the apartment, old style, very comfortable. Two separate bedrooms, comfortable. Kitchen has most things you will need.
Great spacious apartment. Good location and thanks Anu for being so organised and helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment.
We had a great stay at the apartment! It was far larger than I expected and extremely well located. The bath was a great treat as well. There was a minor annoyance with having to reboot the hot water heater but it was almost not worth mentioning. I would definitely recommend staying at the flat. I would stay there again on my next trip! Oh! We also checked in early was very convenient.

I am an Australian writer living in both Estonia and the Netherlands. I wrote my first book while living in an old schoolhouse in the Estonian countryside. Estonia, then newly independent from the Sovjet Union, made such a deep and hopeful impression on me, that I decided to buy an apartment in Tallinn so that I would always have a home whenever I returned.
Because my work often takes me to Australia and Latin America, I am in Estonia infrequently these days, and when that is the case, guests will be received by my Estonian friend Anu Liibek.
