Robin was a wonderful host. She was flexible, accommodating, and kind. The rest of the household was also very nice. Their place was comfortable and welcoming, and they had lots of great advice about how to get around and places to check out in DC.
The place is in a great location as well—there was easy access to public transportation, and there were lots of great restaurants within walking distance. I'd definitely recommend Robin's place if you're looking for somewhere to stay in DC.
I really like the room. It was warm, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The public transportation is also very convenient. At the kitchen we can found everything we needed. It was nice stay.
Robin was able to accommodate my last minute reservation even though they were late at night. Robin is a great host and I felt at home right away. She even made some amazing banana bread after I arrived!
Robin couldn't be more friendly and hospitable; I felt like I was staying with a friend right away. From the hot tea after a walk in the rain, to the banana bread, and chili she offered I couldn't have felt more at home. Not to mention the good laughs I had watching old Family Guy and Bob's Burgers episodes on Netflix!
The house and my room was very clean and I have only praise in this regard. She provided soap, shampoo, q-tips, etc.
Needless to say next time I am in D.C. I will be staying with Robin.
We loved our stay here. She was very welcoming and we felt right at home. She was filled with tons of knowledge of the city and even gave us some tea. We fell in love with her dog, Ms. Pits, such a sweetie. The location was perfect. A block away is a bus stop that will take you to everything you need to see. We will definitely be staying here again next time we're in DC. - Mike & Evelyn
that was a great stay in Washington. Robin is an excellent host, and helped me out in making my way in Washington. I really enjoyed conversations in her place, also her (website hidden) and daughter are great people to talk with. The house is situated quite central, the neighbourhood enjoyful, and the room utmost comfy.
Very comfortable stay. Room is nice and clean. Robin very welcoming and hospitable.
The room had an extremely comfy bed and was definitely spacious enough for mine and my friends belongings. The location of this house was perfect to get to our conference because of the 70/79 bus down the street. The house was also a 15minute walk from a metro station columbia heights. The bathroom was nice, although the toilet seat does need to be fixed, and the shower was strong enough to even tackle my hair! Overall a nice room to stay in, reasonable priced and Robyn was very helpful and nice to talk to. This house is shared however, so be prepared to hear other people being around the house while you're there and possibly sharing the bathroom.

I am a 31 year old single mom w/ a 10 year old daughter. Living and working in DC. I bike everywhere and so does my daughter Eve. I love the city life but my roots are in Alaska and I grew up in rural Virginia on a horse farm in Winchester.
