This elegant, charming urban retreat in the heart of Bangsar South is the perfect place to call home for a few days on business or a weekend getaway. Enjoy three floors of poolside private luxury with a rooftop terrace and award-winning views.

The space
The Duchess Loft was designed as a place of zen for the modern young professional. From the moment the elevator access doors open, a calm serenity envelopes you. The gorgeous pool at the doorstep of the Duchess Loft is surrounded by Frangipani trees and flowers. A gentle breeze blows through on most afternoons and evenings making it difficult not to sit atop the swings and take a moment before entering the loft.

Inside, you immediately notice how carefully thought through the loft is. Grab a cold drink from the fridge or make yourself a nice hot tea in the fully equipped kitchen. You could even bake yourself a cake or bread in the brand new oven and bread maker if your heart so desired.

A sparkling clean washroom downstairs helps you lightly freshen up. A brand new, easy to use washer cum dryer is inside should you wish to do your own laundry.

Lie back with your beverage on the plush 3 seater cushion sofa that opens into a day bad if you're feeling lazy. The flat screen tv equipped with a new Dolby 5.1 surround sound system is perfect for enjoying a cinematic experience. A range of DVD's with the newest movies available is provided in the movie basket.

Should you rather catch up on some television, browse through our American Netflix movie selection or watch the latest tv episodes on Hulu PLUS.

A spiral staircase leads you upstairs to the lovely bedroom with a equipped with a luxurious King sized bed and mood lighting. A vanity table and large closet space is at your disposal to unpack your luggage and stay comfortably.

The beautifully tiled bathroom comes with a rain shower, perfect to cool down after a Malaysian summer day. Basic disposable toiletries are provided for your pleasure.

The view from your bedroom is spectacular. The bedroom's floor to ceiling windows open up to the calming blue waters of the swimming pool and the lush green landscaped walkways and gardens. This might make it slight more difficult to get out of bed, from underneath the soft bed comforter.

The entire apartment is air-conditioned with zone remote controls on the ground and upper floor.

Up the spiral stairway to the rooftop terrace reveals a large open area for sunbathing under the splendid Malaysian sun with a jug of nice ice tea. Enjoy the award-winning views of the luxurious property and on the west side behold the magnificent structure of a beautiful Malaysian mosque. You can experience the daily chanting of prayers from the mosque 5 times a day at specific times. A timetable of the prayer times can be provided upon request.

Bangsar South (Previously known as Kampung Kerinchi) is a dazzling nexus of business and entertainment. Largely an expatriate community, you will find most of the modern amenities and facilities you might be accustomed to.

Outside the Centrio lobby, you will find a host of conveniences including a laundromat, convenience store for your groceries, a local bakery franchise, a pizza place and even a clinic, right at your doorstep.

Venture slight down the road to experience authentic local cuisine which come alive in the evenings with a host of Malay delicacies like Ikan Bakar (Grilled Stingray with Lime), Satay (Skewered meat accompanied with Sweet Peanut Sauce), Nasi Padprik (Full flavoured fried rice with seafood or chicken wrapped in a pan fried golden egg). If you can handle the spice a definite must try is the Nasi Tomyam which is white Basmati rice accompanied with a spicy Thai Seafood broth - Tangy in flavour and assured of curing any cold.

A 10 minute walk up the road in the opposite direction brings you to a completely different world of International cusine, two shopping malls, three banks, a dozen gastropubs, Starbucks to artisanal coffee houses and large format grocery stores where you can purchase anything from Wine bottles to fresh local fruit.

If you're looking to unwind after a long day or seeking some nigh time entertainment, Bangsar South is certainly amongst the most vibrant places to be in the KL City area. Head up to Souled Out in the Nexus Building (10 Minutes walk from Duchess Loft) for the best Mojitos in town and the friendliest waiters and waitresses you'll meet in Asia.
