London buses 261 and 126 serve the bus stop outside the station; these buses go to Bromley and Lewisham town centre. There is also a bus terminus in Baring Road near the station served by routes (phone number hidden) and night bus N136; the 124 also passes through Grove Park near the station. Furthermore, Grove Park is close to Blackheath, Greenwich and about 20 minutes by car to the O2 and links to East London where the 2012 Olympic was held. My husband and I had a lovely time in London. Sophia was pleasant and helpful. It took about 20-30 minutes to get to her place in Groves Park. She is super close to the train station which made the journey feel easy.
I thoroughly enjoyed my four night stay. The room was quiet, comfortable and warm. Sophia was very friendly and accommodating. The other house guests were also very pleasant. I was able to make use of the kitchen for tea/toast and cooking pasta in the evening et cetera. Transport was easy from Grove Park station just a few minutes walk away. I would not hesitate to return to this house for another stay. John
We lived there for ten days and had a really nice time. Sophia was always available and very helpful. The house was nice, beds were comfortable and the location in Grove Park pretty well connected to the center of London by train. That house feels like real home.
We didn't have a very pleasant stay at the house. While the pictures showed tables in the garden, we were not welcomed in those areas. Instead, the host left bread and milk in a bag on the kitchen counter. We were a family of 5 with 3 small children. The only bathroom (it was only one and not 2 according to the house description) was shared with at least 2 other people. The strict times to take shower didn't fit well the schedule for common tourist activities, so our children took a few cold showers at night. And there were no towels either. The host was not very keen on giving us instructions on how to get to London. We heard one sentence with the station name and were left to figure out the details by ourselves.
I had a great and enjoyable 7-day stay at Sophia's with my three kids and my husband. The place is comfortable, quiet and functional, we all loved it . It was nice to sit in the garden when the weather was sunny. It was a real pleasure to talk with Sophia and meet her family, Sophia is really nice , helpful and great fun. We're really near the train station and facilities, it takes 15- 20 minutes to go to London bridge, it's really quick. Now I know I've a place to stay when I come next time.
Nice house and very nice people, 3 wonderful weeks in Bromley :) !
We have enjoyed the uncomplicated Bed and Breakfast so near at the direct train to London and also situated yet so quiet. Sophia and her husband were very friendly and we were realy welcome. Thank you for all the good advice, how and where to go in London!
Sophia is really helpful and kind. Her place is near station. Even though I've stayed just for two days, I feel comfortable at Sophia's home..
Sophia was amazing. I arrived very very late and she was great about it! Slept very well. Easy to get to and from station?
We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable and the garden was lovely. We particularly appreciated the use of the kitchen which was well equipped. We will seriously consider staying again.
