About this listing
I live with my girlfriend in this 2 bedroom apartment and I rent the other bedroom giving the possibility to traveller(s) to have a nice accommodation at the same price as the hostels in Venice.
The kind of accommodation I offer is like a hotel. You will receive the keys, sheets and blankets, towels, wi-fi, what ever you need for a comfortable stay.
Breakfast is provided each morning (milk & cereal, yogurt, toasts + marmalades, orange juice, hot tea & coffee).
We don't allow use of the kitchen. You can keep things in the fridge if needed, but we don't allow any type of cooking because of some unpleasant experiences in the past. There are different restaurants around the apartment, nicer if you want to sit down and enjoy, or something quicker if you want to save money.
The room has a double bed, but if you are travelling in two and are really not comfortable sharing a bed, let us know ahead of time and we have a single cot that can be added to the room. This single bed could also be added if you are travelling in three.
(In this case the price changes accordingly).
Internet is available by wifi, and if you don't have your device there is a computer that you're able to use.
The apartment is located in Mestre and it is very well connected to Venice by bus.
The bus stop is 100 meters from the apartment and there is a bus to Venice every 15 minutes.
The bus ticket costs 1.3 euro (oneway) and it takes 20 minutes to arrive to Venice bus station.
As you can tell by our many reviews we enjoy hosting and meeting new people. Don't hesitate to ask us if you have any questions! Ciao! : )
You can store food in the fridge/freezer but we don't allow any type of cooking.
After 12 noon, we don't serve breakfast anymore because we will most likely be using the dining area for our lunch.
We don't mind if you come home late, but we just ask that you are quiet, and that you don't use the hair dryer after midnight.
You can use the washing machine during your stay, but we ask for a small compensation of 2 euros for the electricity, water, and the soap/softener if you plan on doing more than one load of laundry... And, we don't have a dryer, so if you need to do laundry it's better to let us know right away :)
Fabio can get by with Spanish, and Candice is studying Catalan and French, but to make your stay with us more comfortable, it's neccessary that you speak either English or Italian fluently as well.
Candice showed us the apartment and gave us really great directions to get to Venice. Breakfast was really awesome, and the room was clean and nice. Overall a great stay!
The room and the facilities are really nice and clean. Also, the breakfast is tasty. It's convenient to reach Venice (with the bus line 7).
A great place for our visit to Venice! Fabio picked us up from the train station which we were extremely grateful for because of our big luggages. Venice was just a bus ride away and everything was easy to locate. Our room and bathroom were very comfortable. Fabio also introduced us to a really good gelato place and we fell in love. I would definitely recommend this place to others if you're looking for a place to stay near Venice!
It was a great stay. Fabio picked me up at the Mestre station, clearly showed me the way to the Venezia island which is a 25min direct bus ride from the apartment. The room was nice and spacious.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! Fabio was so so nice, helpful and accommodating. He was honest with his advice and we had the best time. I think my favorite meal was at the pizza place by the apartment followed by the amazing gelato! It was nice to get outbid the tourist run city of Venice. The room is fantastic, it was so nice being provided with towels and having access to a computer. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also an added bonus! Everything I could have asked for and more at Fabio's!
Fabio was very prompt and he answered our messages. He also changed his schedule at work for being able to welcome us. He even picked up us with the car at the train station, and allowed us to make the laundry. Overall, we have a very positive experience about living in Fabio's place. Thank you also Fabio for giving us very good guiding about how to get around. Oh, and the place is very near the train station (15 minutes walk), and there are direct busses to Venice (one way cost only 1.5 euros), so I highly recommend the place.
Fabio is very nice and kind! He took us from Mestre train station and showed us around.
His place is clean, large and comfortable. He also offers nice breakfast. We appreciate it very much!
The location is good. We can take bus to Venice center directly.

About the Host, Fabio
Hello! We're Fabio & Candice. We enjoy hosting with airbnb because it gives us the chance to meet new people from all over the world and learn new things about their cultures. We also use airbnb when we travel as a way to meet locals and learn more about our destination. We both speak English and Italian. Fabio can understand a bit of Spanish and Candice is studying Catalan and French. We love to travel, cook, listen to music, and watch movies.
