"The honeymoon cabin" one hour west of Nashville is perfect for a weekend get away for two. Can sleep as many as four. A lovely place to seclude yourself from life's busyness.

The space
Small log cabin in the woods. Nice porch for sitting on warm nights. It has a full kitchen, full bath and living area (with sofa bed) on the main level. The queen bed is up a flight of stairs in the loft. Wood burning fireplace for cold winter nights. Fire pit outside for cool fall and spring nights. And a gas grill for grilling!
We are located on a peaceful and secluded 200 acre farm an hour outside of Nashville. We have cattle, goats and horses on the property.
We have a small garden and orchard that will be available to guests as the season provides.
We have a cream and white dog, LeeLoo, that has free range of the property. She will most likely greet you upon your arrival or join you on your walk. She's very sweet and social, she just wants to meet everyone! (The neighborhood dog, Red, has adopted our farm and guests as his own. He's very kind and just needs some love as he's been abandoned by his real owner. He does bark.)

**There is no internet or tv in this space. There is also very little phone service! We recommend bringing books, games, journals or small hobbies. If weather is supposed to be rainy you might consider bringing a computer with movies DOWNLOADED on it. (Or one with dvd capabilities.)

We are a twenty minute drive to Loretta Lynn's Ranch. A half-hour from Dickson (east), fifteen minutes to Waverly (west) and an hour outside of Nashville provides guest the option of going to the city for the day.
There is no WiFi, no tv and very little cell service.

Guest access
Trails through and around the property for hiking. Garden, orchard and fresh chicken eggs available as the season allows. Pond for swimming and fishing.

Follow the trail behind your cabin to the left. This will lead you to the children's tree house, the barn, the farm animals, and the pond and pond dock. From here follow the gravel drive (over the paved main drive) until you find the trail in the woods again. It will bring you right back to your cabin.

Other things to note
The closest grocery store is 10 miles away. We suggest going to the store BEFORE you arrive and getting essential food items! We have suggestions for where to shop both locally and regionally listed in the guide book!

THERE IS NO INTERNET ACCESS at this cabin. There is also NO TV and VERY LITTLE CELL SERVICE! Please plan accordingly!

Check out is at 10am!

Please feel free to share any photos of your time on our farm to our (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) page, Rock 'N Refuge or #rocknrefuge

We do have eggs and beef from our farm animals, as well as Rock 'N Refuge cups for sale if you'd like to purchase any of those items. (Please note that depending on the time of year eggs may be unavailable and beef may be sparse).

Your first load of firewood is free, but any subsequent load of wood after that will be $10 cash. Please understand, that while we are very wooded and it seems the supply would be endless, we have to pay someone to chop down a tree, cut it into sections, chop that into wood, chop the wood into kindling and then stack it all and then giving it time to dry and season before we have to ask someone to move it to the building and re-stack it!

My husband, David, and I live on the family farm, Rock 'N Refuge, with our two children, and our dog LeeLoo and cat Toulouse. David is a handyman and the interior designer/contractor of all our buildings. I am a former caterer and now managing the Airbnb rentals and a stay-at-home mother. We are both very laid back and love to travel. We hope we provide visitors with a sense of peace and relaxation that comes with farm life! Please search the web for our farm to learn more! (Rock 'N Refuge) Our co-host Marcia is the wonderful human that keeps me sane! She does all the cleaning and keeps track of all the supplies in the buildings! She lives near by with her cats, two dogs and her chickens. If you eat the eggs provided for guests, they’re from Marcia’s chickens!

During your stay
We live on the property 50 yards or so from the cabin. We will be available for guests if we're needed. Otherwise, we leave you in peace to enjoy the solitude! We have a mix bread dog named Leeloo who will join you on walks. Red belongs to the whole neighborhood but has adopted our guests as his new family. He is very sweet but he too has free range of the property. And we also have a very old black cat that you may see roaming at night. He is very friendly.
