★ King Ensuite Overlooking Shoreditch Church Gardens★
Welcome to my home!
A full mid-terraced house (yes an entire 4-storey house!) with a private cosy herb garden away from busy roads AND all in the heart of Shoreditch!
Most of what you will find in the house and in your bedroom is vintage, reclaimed, handmade, all my teas organic or sustainably sourced.
A gorgeous shabby-chic-style loft double ensuite with a king size memory foam mattress on Japanese-style bed frame.
The room enjoys a huge amount of light, lovely Shoreditch church gardens views and a private sunny balcony with table and two chairs, wonderfully warm all year round!
Old wooden floor, reclaimed bedside tables, vintage mirrors & chest of drawers, quirky copper rail/closet and shelves for your belongings.
The room occupies the entire top floor.
In a nutshell: it is extremely cosy, you will enjoy a lot privacy and space.
A fold out mattress will be set up in the room for the third guest.
A folder with the house manual and a guidebook to the local area will be at your disposal during your stay. As soon as your booking is confirmed, I will email them to you so that you can start planning your visit!
The house is set on 4 levels, allowing for a great deal of privacy and freedom, extremely light and decorated with a mix of vintage, reclaimed and hand made furniture, bright raw silk and old saree curtains, and an eclectic collection of pieces from my travels around the world!
On the ground floor, a spacious kitchen-dining room opens to the herb garden, with rustic table and wooden chairs for a sunny summer breakfast. Guest toilet and storage area.
On the first floor double sitting room with large windows overlooking the churchyard giving the impression of sitting in a suspended garden! Huge handmade corner couch
upholstered in organic wool-linen fabric, so comfy you won’t want to leave the house!
I work from this room most of the time, yet always accessible in the evenings!
On the second floor there are two bedrooms and one bathroom. There will be other guests in the other two rooms during your stay.
No TV, no microwave and no dishwasher (trying to be environmentally friendly). Yet lots and lots of books!
EXTRAS & UNIQUE EXTRAS!
Organic cotton towels, hand-made vegan soaps (yes! hand made in Devon by my dear friend Dawn), fresh herbs in the garden, home-made bread or focaccia in the kitchen, a huge variety of my own herbal tea blends and guests’ shelves filled with various breakfast goodies.
Internet WIFI, use of washing machine, iron and ironing board, shampoo, toothpaste and hairdryer. Please ask if you don't find them in your bathroom.
Motorbike/scooter/car off-street parking in gated secure courtyard at the rear of the house. The parking is gated but unattended (all vehicles are parked at the owners risk). Please enquire specifically if you need to park a vehicle.
For anyone less familiar with this area, Shoreditch is one of the trendiest parts of town, a creative playground home to artists and designers, an urban melting pot of street art, vintage, music venues, street food and nightlife.
You’ll be on the doorstep of a variety of independent local stores and cafes, hip shops, markets, art galleries and some of London’s best bars, clubs and restaurants.
The house is bordered by St. Leonard church (Shoredtich Church), exceptionally light and peaceful. That said you are still in the urban heart of the city and Shoreditch is a vibrant and very animated neighborhood especially at weekends.
You are minutes from Hoxton Square, Brick Lane, Columbia Road, Rivington Street, Redchurch Street, Old Street, Spitalfields and some of their most well-known venues like the White Cube Gallery, Shoreditch House and Boundary Hotel roof top.
Fancy a stroll or run in the green? Regents canal, London Fields and Broadway market are a short 15-minute walk.

Location was the house is great. No complaints at all during my stay. Giulia is a great host and I would definitely recommend her room to anyone.
Fantastic location. Lovely house. Nice view. Large room. Comfy bed. En suite. Fresh bread. Herbal tea. Relaxed vibe. What's not to love? If you want a great stay in London, stay at Giulia's place.
I really enjoyed staying in Giulia's flat in Hackney. The flat has a lovely modern design, an amazing bath and the views of the city are fantastic. Highly recommended.
Giulia is a great host and has a lovely house. I had a really good nights sleep. The choice of tea was fantastic and home made bread delicious. Highly recommended.
For my first ever trip to the UK - Giulia was the perfect host! Extremely responsive during the initial booking process, Giulia provided perfect details for getting from LHR to her listing, and then provided great insights into some cool bars & restaurants in the area to check out. My time at her flat was nothing but comfortable thanks to a quiet, cozy room in a busy neighborhood. It was great chatting with her every morning, and I must say the fresh bread was an excellent touch! Look forward to staying again.
What to say when the host is easy going, has a lovely home and is so attentive to her guests? Guilia is a great host and I recommend her very peaceful and well cared for home highly.
It was a pleasure to stay at Giulia's place. The house is gorgeous with all the well-chosen interiors, and the room was perfectly clean. The location is very convenient, everything you need nearby and just a short walk to Liverpool Street Station. There can be some party noise around on weekends, but hey, that's Shoreditch. Giulia is a great host, gracious and easy-going. Don't forget to try her home-made teas. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time in a wonderful city, a beautiful house with a fantastic host. Absolutely recommendable! Thanks again, Giulia!
Really lovely room covering the whole top floor of the house, with it's own bathroom and even a balcony. Stylish, great location, lots of storage space etc. Giulia was a really lovely host and very accommodating and friendly. I look forward to staying again!
