Overlooking beautiful Keauhou Bay, our condo with its stunning views was the very unit chosen by the developer for his own residence! As you relax on the lanai you will feast your eyes on our whitewater view, with pool, the 9th tee, and the first fairway in the foreground.
Gorgeous sunsets are guaranteed.
The best snorkeling on the Big Island is within walking distance, as are famous chef Sam Choy's new "Kai Lanai" restaurant, "Rays on the Bay" restaurant at the nearby Sheraton, and the modern Keauhou Shopping Center with supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants and movie theaters. It's a short walk to sportfishing, outrigger and standup paddling, kayaking, snorkeling excursions, swimming and volleyball. There's a Farmers' Market down the road every Wednesday. Two national parks, including Volcano National Park, are within driving distance.
We have a large flat screen TV with upgraded High Definition cableTV service in the living area, Hi Speed Wifi Internet, and a DVD player with brand new LED monitor in the Master Suite. . The California King-Sized Master Suite has its own private ensuite bathroom. Along with our modern kitchen, we have a Queen Murphy Bed in a second sleeping area enclosed by a wraparound screen curtain and a second guest bathroom as well.
Continental breakfast will be provided by our housekeeper for your first morning's enjoyment!

This really is Hawaiian Paradise. We stayed for two weeks and could not have asked for anything more.
David was extremely helpful as a host and answered all my questions and emails very quickly and with helpful detail. He also had lots of helpful information which he shared with us. There is a very detailed and helpful book provided to answer any and all questions you might have during your stay.
The condo is exactly as advertised. It is tastefully decorated with Hawaiian decor and you really feel relaxed and at home. All the appliances are updated and functional. It is a private, quiet suite on the top floor of a 3 story building. All the other residents of the complex were friendly and welcoming. You have a beautiful view of the ocean from basically everywhere in the suite except the bathroom!
The birds happily wake you up every morning at about 6:30 which was perfect timing (but maybe bring earplugs if you want to sleep later than that).
The lanai is big and beautiful and equipped with a bbq and telescope! There is also plenty of beach equipment to use.
The location is ideal. Close enough to Kailua-Kona which is good for exploring the town day or night, but far enough away to avoid the traffic and noise. The Sheraton Resort is located just down the hill, a 5-10 minute walk. We frequented Rays on the Bay for a nightcap and to watch the Manta Rays at night. There is also a Boat company (The Fair Winds (A very well known and great company) located just down the hill which takes you out on all sorts of excursions- fishing, snorkeling, whale watching. There is also a $2 open air historical shuttle that you can catch from the Sheraton which will take you basically anywhere you need to go!
We were also able to explore the whole island from this location and you can drive anywhere on the island in under two hours. For example, getting to the Volcano only took 1 hour 45 mins/2 hours as opposed to over 2 1/2 hours if you were in Kona.
Thank you so much to David and Patti for a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this place and have in fact recommended it to my parents.
This place was wonderful. exactly as advertised. It is everything we needed. highly recommended.
This unit is in a great location for exploring the Big Island. Close enough (15 minutes) to koa airport, and central to the great beaches( and other areas. We very much enjoyed La'aloa Bay Beach Park about 5 minutes away. Wonderful snorkling and beach. Two Step Beach even better. The boat excursion to the Capt. Cook inlet was fantastic. I suggest also: Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site, Lapakahi State Park (by 4 Seasons), Greenwell Coffee farm (take the free tour-then taste!), Punalu'u Beach (green sea turtles!).
As for the unit-it's a 1 bedroom with kitchen, 2 baths, and a fold out bed from the wall-which we didn't use. Everything we needed (and more) is here. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, some snorkel gear, kitchen items, binoculars/telescope, electric BBQ. The view over the golf course (although closed for renovation-not sure when it opens again) to the ocean is wonderful. It is on the 4th floor with 5 flights and 35 steps. There is no AC, but the room cools nicely with open windows and cool nights.
I could certainly stay here again as it makes the trip convenient for location and equipped room. Mahalo!
Thank you for your comments Dave. The golf course is undergoing a makeover and should be ready early in the New Year. We enjoy a cool mountain breeze each morning, ocean breezes later in the day and there's a beautiful tropical ceiling fan in every room. We hope our guests will continue to find the 35 steps worth the energy because the view from the top is quite breathtaking!
Amazing place! Great view of the ocean! We were very close to just about everything that we wanted to do (snorkeling, swimming, boogie boarding, manta ray trip). There was a grocery store only a mile or so away, so we were able to keep our costs down instead of dining out.
The place itself was very comfortable. Everything we needed for our week stay. The pool was great for our son and the murphy bed was really cool. It folded away in seconds!
The owners were really, really, really nice! They shared all kinds of things with us before our trip that really made a difference. I can not recommend the place enough.
I really enjoyed this stay at Kona in Hawaii Island, including snorkeling over coral reef at sea level, viewing sunset at scenic points along roadways, coffee farms, to an ocean of stars at the top of Mt, Mauna Kea. This condo is located at the center of spots for such a variety of leisure activities (also, literally in the area of Kona Country Club). Keauhou Shopping Center is only 1 mile away, and I found it very convenient for starting long stay (of 12 days).
The list of pictures on airbnb shows exactly what this condo is; that is an mpressive sunset view from the lanai.
Also, I am thankful to David that he had been welcome to make this stay a precious time with surprisingly short response time and courteous exchange of instructions and replies to my questions.
I confidently say that prospective visitors to this condo can enjoy slow life. Honestly, I want to stay here next time again.
Note: Some distant wild regions in Big Island are accessible only by 4WD.
We had a wonderful stay on the Big Island, using the condo as our base for daily excursions. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to make it comfortable home, including a super comfy bed. We loved having breakfast on the lanai to start our day. The location is ideal with shopping, dining, and beaches within minutes and easy access to the highway for farther trips.
David was very prompt with communications and easy to deal with. Mahalo David!
Lovely home and the hosts could not be more friendly and prompt in communicating about the rental. My mom and I spent a week here and felt very fortunate to have found such a great home for our stay. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and decoratively stylish. It has all the amenities one needs when away from home: a fully stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, comfortable beds, linens, beach towels, etc. The linai was our favorite area to spend our mornings eating breakfast, watching the sunrise and listening to the birds. Stunning ocean view! Also, enjoyed time in the pool on warmer days. Lastly, the location was perfect! South of central Kona and in close proximity to Hwy 11, which is a bonus for accessibility to other parts of the island and away from the touristy area. Grocery shopping near by. Overall a wonderful experience!
Condo location was quiet and conveniently located. View from the lanai was as good as it gets. Condo layout was open, well-ventilated, and full of daylight. We enjoyed the entire stay and appreciated being away from the party crowds. Overlooking the Kona Country Club golf course made for entertaining meals and other condo residents/visitors were friendly but respectful of our privacy. David was very informative and organized all the necessary information so there were no glitches. The Keauhou area is clean, quiet, and convenient to both the southern and northern Kona activities.
