Looking for a place to rest, play and recover from life in the fast lane?

Come join us at our peaceful, yet centrally-located homestead.

From fishing to berry picking, kayaking to music events, we love the Alaska lifestyle and we're excited to share our knowledge and experience with fellow explorers.

If you love dogs, don't mind roosters, and if you suspect it might be a hoot to live like a local, we'd love to share the simple joys of life down on the farm.

We'll leave the light on.

The space
Peace Creek farm is a small, ten-acre parcel of land where we grow food, flowers and raise free-range birds.

Located about four hundred feet from the host cabin is the guest cabin.

The guest cabin has 300 feet of living area and is constructed from local logs.

There is a fireplace, a full kitchen, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a ladder to the sleeping loft that sleeps two adults.

Downstairs there is a day bed as well as a couch bed.

There is a porch on the front of the cabin and a private yard out back.

Where you’ll be

Soldotna, Alaska, United States

Our little homestead is located at the end of a small rural road and is surrounded by several large parcels of homesteading/agricultural properties. The larger neck of our neighborhood is made up of other small homesteads, family homes, and lots and lots of trees.
We like to say we live in a "gated community," farm gates that is, as our closest neighbors are our good pals at the Lucky Horse Ranch, a sweet couple who manage a poppy farm, and our dear friends who operate a local hayfield.
We love that it is the kind of place where neighbors still know each other's names and we are always there to help each other out or lend a hand, backhoe, or a pair of painted party goats if the need arises (like in the case of an emergency or a community fundraiser)
Running through our backyard and our neighborhood is Sliclock Creek, a long and winding salmon-bearing creek.
We absolutely love where we live and hope our guests will too! We feel we have the best of both worlds. We are smack in the center of what feels and looks like "the old Sourdough Alaska" and yet, we are minutes from great fishing holes, ski, walking, and bike paths.
There are shopportunities for the necessities very close by, yet "going to town" is only an additional ten-minute drive.
From there, we have a HUGE backyard {as in our great state) to explore and it is three times the size of Texas!

Aloha, Bula, Hei, and Hello!
Wherever you are from, we would love to welcome you to our little homestead where we come to recover from life and encourage our guests to do the same. We have world-class views, fishing, Ski, and hiking trails, chickens, goats, equine neighbors, and a beautiful salmon-bearing stream, all conveniently located in or very near our own backyard. As long-term Alaskans, we've enjoyed building a life (as well as cabins, barns, and gardens) we are excited to spend our days loving life and helping others to enjoy real, down-home, Alaskan hospitality. Whether we are catching dinner, making homemade soap, collecting eggs or just lounging about we look forward to sharing what it is like to live like a local---Alaska style that is.
We'll leave the light on for you.
Happy Travels!

During your stay

We want to give fellow travelers the experience they dreamed of. Once upon a time, thanks to a category five cyclone and Covid, we found ourselves stranded travelers on a little island. Thanks to our kind and generous hosts our unexpected extended stay in the islands taught us much about the fine art of hospitality.
Now that we are home, we look forward to meeting travelers from near and far and we hope to pay it forward as we extend a warm island welcome to everyone looking for that laid-back feel.
When guests arrive they can expect a brief tour of the little homestead we call Peace Creek Farm and we will do our best to answer questions about the area We are always happy to recommend local activities and events.
