The space

This is a clean and comfortable room located in one of the hippest and most iconic neighborhoods in all of NYC! It is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and bars and located only two blocks from the subway making the whole city easily accessible.

I am a photographer/entrepreneur living in a spacious fourth-floor 2-bedroom apartment in East Village - one room which I rent out on a regular basis to responsible, mature adults who'd like a clean, comfortable place to stay for 30 days or more, in a hip downtown NYC neighborhood. I live in the second bedroom.

About the Room:
This is a private room with a very comfortable queen bed for guests. The room includes large 8 drawer dresser and closet space, fresh linens and towels, soap & shampoo, hairdryer, breakfast snacks, coffee & tea, kettle, wifi, air conditioning unit, heat.

Guests have access to all common areas of the apartment to use at their leisure including kitchen, living area w/large flatscreen tv, and bathroom.

I am happy to accompany guests up to the rooftop to take photos of the beautiful NYC skyline - amazing views of Freedom Tower and Empire State building.

All of my guests are welcomed into my home as friends. However; some guests prefer to keep to themselves. I am happy to interact with guests as much or as little as they please - it is entirely up to you. My preference, however; is to be friendly and hear about all the fun you are having during your stay!!

I've hosted guests from all over the world and I enjoy helping them to explore this great city and make the most of their stay while here.

If you've ever wanted to experience the New York City this is a perfect way to do it!

Guest access

Guests have full use of common areas within the apartment.

Interaction with guests

I enjoy meeting and hosting guests from all over the world and sharing with them all of the local spots while they are here.

Other things to note

This apartment is located on the fourth floor of a walk up.

I have 3 cats - Maggy, Lucy, & Zoe. I've had them for 17.5yrs; they're well behaved, super fun and lovable - and they'll expect you to treat them the same. All of my guests have loved hanging out with them and they make for great pictures!!

My experience at Evan's apartment was very good, the place is very well located, the area is safe and has many options to spend a burn time. The subway is two blocks, is an easy to use and connects to the main subway lines. Evan is friendly, respectful, and is willing to guide you in whatever is necessary, has prepared a list of activities and places you can visit. His cats are sweet. the apartment is cozy, has a lot of natural lighting, which I loved, it is quiet and peaceful. It is a very recommendable place for the stay.

My stay at Evan's was great. He has 3 awesome cats each with their own personality. Super clean room. Very quiet but still in a neighborhood with loads going on. Great local advice on places to see in the area. East village is a great place to stay and I'd really recommend Evan's place.

Great location and three lovely cats. The walk back every night is always full of interesting sights and sounds. Good food in the neighborhood and just one subway stop away from Williamsburg.

Exactly as advertised! Beautiful neighborhood, beautiful unit, spacious room, quiet unit literally waking up hearing birds in the morning (on Manhattan), and you'd never guess three cats lived in the unit, it's that clean. Evan made me feel welcome from the beginning and he was always helpful for any questions about the city or to just hang and have a good conversation. Thank you for making my NYC experience amazing to begin with.

I am a photographer/entrepreneur in love with thrill seeking activities, travel, and spending time with family and friends. I've lived in NYC since 2008 and in the East Village for the several years and I absolutely love it - it is truly one of the best neighborhoods in the city - lots of colorful characters, charm, and tons of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops everywhere!

I've traveled extensively throughout the world - I love seeing different places and meeting new my opinion, staying with a local is the best way to really experience a new place and learn all of the cool spots that you won't find in any travel guides, etc.
