We were in regular contact with Robert leading up to our trip, so we were reassured that everything was ready for our arrival. When we got to the apartment (later than we had hoped due to a plane delay), we were warmly welcomed by Robert's mum who showed us around the apartment and even had a map ready of the neighborhood and answered all of our questions about how to get around and where we could eat, etc. The apartment was charming and spotless. Each bed was clean and comfortable and thank goodness for the A/C, it was one of the hottest weekends Chicago has had in a while. The kitchen was fully equipped and the location was perfect for access to the places we wanted to visit, with a bus stop just at the end of the street. The back deck was a nice feature and honestly, we felt comfortable and at home during our stay with ample space for 5 of us. We would definitely try to book this apartment again for another stay in Chicago. 10 out of 10!
Robert's mother who lives in the building welcomed us and showed us around the apartment. The apartment was as described on the website. It was clean, spacious and vintage. A festival was occurring in the neighborhood and we were given a private garage to use for parking which was very much needed and appreciated. The neighborhood was fine.
We had a wonderful time in Chicago and staying at Robert's. He was there when we arrived and the living quarters were great. Free parking was available on the street (get a sticker for each day) though we relied mostly on mass transit and Uber to get back and forth to Chicago. Kitchen and bedrooms well equipped and in working order and laundry room (basement) available and stocked with detergent. Very clean place.
Great place, exactly as described. We arrived late at night and Robert arranged for the keys to be there waiting. Loved the neighborhood and Robert provides a great list of places to go. The air conditioning is a bit loud at times but nothing that would stop me from returning the next time I visit Chicago.
Super visite!
