The main space is an open concept living area and kitchen, which most people use to relax and look out at the view. During the day, you can open the accordion windows and be connected to the outside while being inside. Off of the main living area, there is a closed bathroom and a separate bedroom, which sleeps two (an additional floor mattress can be added for a third person in the main room). The kitchen area has a fridge, gas stove, and kitchen basics for cooking.

Where you’ll be

Luang Nuea, Chiang Mai, Thailand

The local village is authentic and the people are very friendly. Our Jungle Home is located in Pasak Ngam, Doisaket, which is approximately 70 km from the city center, driving up the Phrao Road (1001). To get here, you pass through a wonderful teak forest and then the local village, which has a few coffee stalls, a couple of noodle restaurants, a beautiful temple, and some local convenience stores before arriving at the Jungle Home, which is a little outside of the village. The local bar sometimes has a karaoke night!

Nearby attractions include the Buathong “Sticky Waterfalls,” Mae Kuang Dam, the jungle featured in “Rambo 4” and a bat cave. We recommend that guests rent their own car or motorbike from the city as there are no rentals in the village.

Local one-day tours that we offer include “A Day in the Jungle” and “Local Foods and People.” We have a 2-day trip “Jungle Living and Sight-seeing” that ends with sight-seeing in Chiang Mai. And we offer longer 3-5 day trips/workshops: “Jungle Living and Survival Skills” and “Jungle and Natural Living.”
