It was perfect for me as a Kripalu student (12 min drive) because Karen's home is wonderfully peaceful and cute. The upstairs bedroom (beautiful quilt on the wall, queen) where I stayed was super warm and cozy for a winter stay and has a shared bathroom adjoining the bedroom with plenty of privacy. The downstairs bedroom has its own entrance and uses a shared downstairs fully equipped bathroom. Either option is great. Karen is very easy going about time of day for coming/going which I greatly appreciated as a Kripalu participant having odd hours. Definitely recommended and *very* cost effective compared to a shared room at Kripalu.
I had a very pleasant, comfortable stay at Karen's house. The neighborhood was very scenic and there was a sweet little cafe just around the corner. Karen was helpful with driving directions and flexible about the arrival time.
Great experience. Karen called when the reservation was completed and made me feel at ease given it was my first AIRBNB experience. She was a gracious host and id recommend her to anyone.
Karen was a very hospitable and relaxed host. The house was quiet and cozy.
Karen has a very warm and lovely way of being. We felt very welcomed and comfortable in her presence. She provided an experience that anticipated all of our needs. The room was warm and pleasing. The home felt peaceful. It was nice to be in a rural town that was quiet and free of traffic noise. The local coffee shop and restaurant were an added plus. Thank you Karen and hope to return the next time we're in the area!
Check in & check out was super easy. Thank you so much for the convenience & for hosting!

I am a semi retired teacher who has been doing airbnb for three years. I love meeting new people, and for me, it is like traveling without traveling. I am what is referred to as a 'creative' here in the Berkshires. I have worked with clay and had a jewelery line and a pottery shop. Currently I am working with pastels. I love the creative process in all it's various forms. I enjoy traveling and recently spent 2 1/2 years in Bangkok, Thailand at a beautiful little international school. In the last few years I have been to Thailand, Cambodia, Viet Nam, India, Russia and Mexico, Namibia and lived in Amsterdam in the 70's. .......and many travels in between !
