We were seven adults and six children between the ages of 4 months and 3 1/2 years old and we were very comfortable in this house. It is very child friendly with tons of toys so our kids had a great time. We had no hot water for showers the first morning so I called Carolyn and she was very responsive and apologetic. Turns out the water heater was not turned on, so it was an easy fix in the end. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking for a large group. It was quite cold when we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the backyard, but I imagine it would be a nice place to hang out in the warmer months. Over all we had a very nice time.
We had a fantastic time! The house is very family friendly. Having 3 generations with us can sometimes prove challenging, but there was something for all from my 2year old to my 62year old Father-in-law. A nice closed in backyard, board games, toys and plenty of space. Ocean Beach is great. A bit of a walk for young children(we drove), but worth the trip. The Seaport, Aquarium and Mystick Shopping are only a very short car ride away. Carloyn was extremely helpful and responsive. We would not hesitate to stay at one of her properties in the future.
Everything was wonderful. Check in and out was simple. The house was amazing. Had everything we could have needed. Plenty of beach accessories. Plenty of toys and things for my niece to play with. Beach access just down the street. Even had menus for the local restaurants and directions to get to local attractions and stores. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks for a great time.
Stayed at Carolyn's place in New London 2 nights over the 4th of July weekend. We were 6 people.
Carolyn was kind enough to approve us even though we booked at the very last minute.
As soon as we got to the house, the holiday mood was set by the sight of the sea at the end of the street.
It kept on getting better as we discovered the house. ACs were already running so the house was cooled down, nice touch on top of the personal welcome note.
The house is really big with plenty of beds, it is incredible how much it has to offer. I think the pics don't do it justice.
We were able to fire up the grill and enjoy dinner in the backyard. Bugs repellent was even provided!
Finally the beach pass made us feel more like residents than tourists from the city.
True that there is only one real shower, but that wasn't an issue for our group.
Carolyn is very responsive and is easily reachable by phone or email. The whole check in/out process is absolutely seamless.
Thanks again for saving us from a weekend in the city humid heat.
Hope to come again!
We had a wonderful time at Harbor View House! We were there with our 8-month old and some friends with their 2 kids. We had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable, and the kids especially enjoyed the playroom upstairs. The house was clean and comfortable, and Carolyn was very easy to communicate with.
