I have a very comfortable modern studio apartment to rent in a gorgeous three story house in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's your own self-contained studio apartment within the house. You will have all the privacy you require. The place was renovated this year so everything is new.
15 minutes from Manhattan. It's a super location. Check the reviews!
You'll have your own private entrance from the front garden and your own brand new fully renovated bathroom. You also have full use of the porch (terrace) which looks over the park and front garden.
The apartment is a large open-plan studio apartment. Chic and modern, the apartment features a very comfy queen (double) bed, brand new bathroom with all new fixtures and a really great shower, flat-screen HDTV with Netflix, Hulu Plus and local cable channels, free WIFI and work desk.
The queen bed sleeps two very comfortably making it a great place for a couple or two friends to stay. Great for solo travelers too. There's a self-controlled thermostat in your room, so you can make the place as warm as you want.
Included in the rental is:
• Your own private en-suite bathroom with shower is right off your room.
• Fresh sheets and towels are all provided.
• Free High speed internet with Wifi.
• Flatscreen HDTV with thousands of movies and TV shows.
• Full use of the outdoor porch and garden to eat outside in the summer
• Hairdryer, iron, ironing board.
• A washing machine and drying facilities.
• Complimentary toiletries - shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving foam etc.
• Kettle to make tea and coffee
• A personal fridge and microwave in the apartment (but no full kitchen - it's for short term rentals only).
Always lots of free parking on the street and also lots of friendly advice on any of the great local amenities from a local who knows the city well.
The house has lots of outdoor space and sits right on Cooper Park - one of the few parks in Williamsburg. It's a super quiet block, but only minutes from the subway and all the trendy bars and restaurants of Williamsburg. You would never know that you're only fifteen minutes from Manhattan.
The front porch opens out onto a garden with a view of the park. There are chairs and a table on the porch where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or have a drink at night.
The park has tennis and handball courts, a dog run, basketball courts, a kids playground, exercise bars, and is popular for jogging. There's a yoga studio across the street and a gym five minutes away that does daily rates. McCarren pool is a recently renovated open air swimming pool just a short walk away.
You'll be right in the center of Williamsburg - with all its world class restaurants, hip bars, and great shopping - but the street is totally peaceful, safe and quiet at night. You're just three minutes walk to the Graham Ave L subway stop.
A short walk gets you to the G train too to get you to other parts of Brooklyn or Queens. It's a very convenient location and a really great neighbourhood.
I'm a filmmaker from Ireland and having travelled the world love to welcome guests and meet new people. I've lived in the neighborhood for almost fifteen years, and I'll do everything I can to make you feel at home here. As my studio is in the same building check in and out times are usually very flexible.
It's my own house, not a rental, so no need to worry about running into grumpy New York City landlords on your way in! :)
It's a great house. I'm a very easy going and I love to have guests. I'm on the top floor most of the time so I'll be well out of your way, if I'm here at all. I'll be more than happy to share any of my NYC top tips and favourite places with you.
I can speak French and Italian, Spanish and some German if that helps!
Look forward to seeing you here.
You get the entire garden apartment to yourself. You have your own door to the house, so you can come and go as you please. You also get your own private bathroom and shower. It's your own studio apartment in Brooklyn.
Interaction with Guests
I work from home a lot in my studio which is on the top floor, so I'm often around to make sure you're comfortable while staying here. We have completely separate spaces though so you will only see me if you need directions or help with finding a great local restaurant.
I know the area really well having lived here 14 years and always happy to suggest places to go, eat, drink, shop, how to get around.
The area really is great for eating and drinking. Lots of really delicious and well priced restaurants are within a five minute walk. I have a list of favourite places for you to check out.
Wander down towards Bedford Avenue which is within close walking distance for literally hundreds of fun bars, clubs, live music venues, and restaurants and the best in Brooklyn night life. There are plenty of great shops just by the local subway station too.
The location is great here. It's just a three minute walk to the L train which comes every few minutes and cuts right across Manhattan. From the train you're in the East Village or Union Square in about ten minutes. The L meets up with pretty much every major subway line, so getting around is really quick and easy.
The G train is a ten minute walk or just one stop on the L, so if you want to head up to Queens or into Brooklyn without having to go into the city that's totally easy too.
Lots of buses, very quick and easy taxi service that calls to the house.
Also great to bike around Brooklyn with lots of bike lanes and flat terrain.
This is your home away from home - please just take as good care of it as you do of your own home.
If there's something you need, just ask me! I would prefer that you ask rather than not be happy! :)
No pets, sorry.
No smoking in the house. Outside in the garden or porch is fine.
No guests allowed apart from those agreed to in the original reservation.
This is a quiet residential block, so no parties. No loud music.
They keys for the place are very expensive to get copies made of so please don't lose them. If you do I'll have to charge a $50 per key fee.
Paul was a great host during our stay - from the responsive communication before we got there to checking in to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our trip. The room was clean and cozy with plenty of space and all of the amenities you would need. The location was extremely convenient as well, it's a quiet neighborhood and only a short 5 min walk to the subway. Would definitely stay here again!
Paul was a fabulous host from the beginning. He was extremely accommodating with our ever changing travel plans and in the end, our very late arrival to his accommodation. The room itself was cozy and homely and did not lack for anything we needed. Paul also provided a booklet full of things to do and see in the area. We are definitely looking forward to staying with Paul again in the near future.
Paul was incredible! I knew he would be wonderful based on the responsiveness prior to our arrival, and I was only more impressed when we arrived and throughout our stay. He greeted us warmly on the cold, snowy day and showed us around the spacious, well-appointed guest suite. Throughout the stay, he checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to stay with Paul again!
Paul was such a great host! He was there to greet us upon our arrival, he showed us all the details of the apartment and texted us daily to see if we needed anything. He was also very accomodating with our late check-out time, letting us stay a little longer and leave our bags with him. We had everything we needed!
Paul is a very nice host! He communicated with us well and made sure we were all good with everything! Good location and subway is 5mins away!
Paul was very welcoming and easy to work with. We spent more time in the space then we expected because of how cold it was. Luckily it was a great space so that was no problem. Thanks again, Paul!
I actually loved everything about Paul's place! :)
The apt has a great location and is close to the subway, the neighborhood is safe, the neighbors are nice and there are a lot of options around. It was my parents first trip to NYC and I wanted them to experience this city like I'm experiencing and as far as I can tell, they got it and loooved it! Paul was very nice, considerate, ready to help and answer any questions I could have. The room is amazingly cozy and clean, it is impossible not to feel comfortable in it. I highly recommend it!!! :)
I'm an Irish-born filmmaker living in Brooklyn since 2000.
Friendly and easy going. Always happy to meet new people so I really enjoy meeting and hosting new people with Airbnb.
I've travelled a lot over the years, so I know what it's like to be away from home living out of a small suitcase. Hopefully that helps in me making your stay here as comfortable as possible!
