On the park in the historic Kremer Home, a sun-filled studio apartment with hardwood floors, high ceilings, fine woodwork, period furniture, and contemporary art. Just steps to all that German Village and downtown Columbus have to offer- a must see!

The space

The suite that is currently available is a 400 square foot sun-filled studio apartment with hardwood floors, high ceilings, fine woodwork, period furniture, and contemporary art by Ohio artists. It has its own private entrance, granite-tiled full bath and shower, piano, queen-sized bed, refrigerator, coffee-pot, and generous closet space. Located in the Kremer home, situated on the northeast corner of Schiller Park- this house is one of German Village's best-known residences. Built in 1887 by a leading Columbus architect and developer, Julius Kremer, it has captured the imagination of German Village residents and visitors for over 100 years. Kremer developed the land around the park and designed many well-known structures in Columbus and throughout Ohio, including the Hartman Building, Front's Brewery, and the Union Station.

Guest access

Schiller park is literally 25 feet from the front door of the apartment. There is access to the home's private garden. A major grocery store is one block away as is one of Columbus' finest bars and restaurants. Additionally, the Kremer home is in close walking distance to many more of the best galleries, restaurants, pubs, bars, restaurants, diners, bakeries, and boutiques and shops that German Village has to offer.

Perfect location to explore German Village, but still close to downtown and the Short North. The place was incredibly clean, quiet, and had a great bathroom. The private side entrance made accessing the unit easy. We also appreciated the free on-street parking. Great place for a great value. Highly recommend staying here. Also, be sure to check out the Skillet for brunch on the weekends. Amazing!

Wonderful German Village location! We had a great night because parking and check-in were easy, and Jim's room was exactly as described. We also loved the late checkout time - perfect!

Jim has a wonderful set-up. The apartment was clean, cute, and right across the street from a great little park. Jim was very communicative once we checked in and you can park right in front of the house. My only gripe is that the apartment didn't have an iron handy. Other then that everything was aces.

This suite is in a beautiful neighborhood located right across from Schiller Park. Highly recommend taking a stroll through the park. We greatly appreciated the parking permit provided by Jim(thank you!) Your best bet is to park and walk if you are spending most of your time in German Village. You will need to bring a cooler if you want to keep cold beverages / water in supply. There are no snacks / water provided in the room (other than the bathroom sink). We only stayed one night so not a major issue. The room is comfortable for an overnight stay. I also recommend a small fan or SleepMate (white noise machine). German Village Coffee House is excellent for breakfast.
