I guess I’m a combination of Lynn’s two previous guests—on a sabbatical and had car trouble (a flat tire) en route! Lynn was a great host—checking with me during the day and then greeting me with a glass of wine and dinner when I finally arrived just before dark. She then invited me to accompany her to a talk that evening at the Ute Museum which was really interesting and just a nice way to spend an evening in the community. Her home is lovely, the room and private bath perfect and the kitchen/living room area a wonderful space. She was kind enough to offer her washer/dryer which was much appreciated as it saved me a trip to a laundromat. For two evenings, I had a great time visiting with Lynn who is gracious, smart, fun, funny and very knowledgeable about the area. The town of Montrose is delightful. Good coffee at the Coffee Traders in town (ask Lynn where it is) and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison incredible—don’t miss it! I highly recommend staying with Lynn, and hope to do so again.
Lynn was very gracious when some car trouble got me in two hours late--she stayed to greet me and settle me in even though it meant being late for dinner! So friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs to stay in the area. And the WiFi actually works well...I've had such trouble with it in actual hotels and motels, but no problem at all at Lynn's.
I was on a sabbatical trip and needed somewhere to stay near Delta,CO.
Lynn's home is about 20 minutes away, has a beautiful view of the Rockies from the front yard, and the room was very comfortable. Lynn was friendly and helpful, even in the midst of preparing for a wedding.
She's available if you need anything, and otherwise gives you space.
Lynn is absolutely lovely! Her place is gorgeous and comfortable. Her pets are friendly and polite.
The house has a lovely sun-room, if you wish to sit and read. She has lived there forever and a day, so she knows everything in and around that area of CO.
A lovely personality, Lynn provided excellent conversation and made me feel very comfortable. It felt like staying with an old friend. Wish her all the best!
Lynn is a great host and a fun person. My visit was for 9 nights while is was taking a bit of a vacation and attending a dog handling clinic. I would have loved to stay longer only work was calling me back to CA. The fall weather brought rain and snow but Lynn had great advice on the perfect hiking trails for the daily conditions. I had several dogs and Lynn had great advice on trails that were not busy with foot traffic or bikes. She also knew where to get great photos and where the best lighting would be for the time of day. She is very familiar with Montrose and the surrounding area and be a great contact if you would like information on golf courses in the region. .
The house is quiet, very clean, the perfect temperature, it is also very close to town and easy to find.. I had quite a bit of gear for all types of weather and Lynn was very accommodating. Thanks Lynn
lynn was a great host; friendly, easy-going, and helpful. i felt like i was staying with a friend or a family member. she gave me good travel advice and helped me plan my route back home, and even make sure the road conditions were acceptable for driving before i left. she made me feel very comfortable from the get-go. her home is cozy and warm. i highly recommend staying with her.
This was our first stay in an AirBnB. All I can say are good things! Lynn was a wonderful host. She was so warm and inviting with opening her home to us. Lynn made us very comfortable. We enjoyed spending time with her and getting to know her. She offered us great ideas on things to do around Montrose. (Definitely hike the Enchanted Mesa trail in Ridgway State Park. Thanks Lynn.) Lynn's home is very cozy. The bed was very comfortable. Without a doubt, I would recommend to anyone who asked, that if in Montrose, to stay with Lynn. We encouraged Lynn to visit our neck of the woods. We'd be happy to see her again.
We really really enjoyed our brief stay with Lynne. What a lovely home, what perfect accommodations for the two of us. I felt like returning to an old friend, although we'd never met. She was very energetic in telling us that we must take in The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and we are so grateful that she was as we enjoyed every minute of that visit and spent more time than we'd thought as it was AMAZIMING! I know I will return and I hope I can stay with Lynne when I do! Thanks so very much for sharing your home.
Don't be daunted by the driveway leading around the back corner of the house past the shed where the cat lives. The house and host are extremely warm, comfortable and welcoming!! Lynn is an interesting, congenial host glad to share helpful information about Montrose and its environs -- including an insider tip on picking fresh corn at the end of the road.
Lynn was a fantastic Airbnb host. Her home was beautiful and the accommodations were top notch. Her warm personality and welcoming demeanor just added to the experience. Unfortunately my tight travel itinerary didn’t allow for more socializing but I did attend a small dinner party where I met a group of her wonderful friends. Definitely would stay there again if in Colorado. A +.
