Guests can have access to all common areas i.e. bathroom, kitchen and living room. There's a little sitting area in the patio outside the kitchen they can also use.
Interaction with Guests
As the flat is my permanent residence I will most likely be there too. I am very friendly and sociable and love getting to know my guests but at the same time I totally respect their privacy.
This is a very residential neighbourhood with mainly families and couples. It's 100% safe whilst located in a quite central district with easy access to the city centre. There's a lovely central square only minutes away from the flat where you can enjoy a nice meal or a few drinks. The low rising buildings add a special feel to this area that contrasts with the normal cityscape of Athens with its tall block of flats.
The underground station Dafni is 10' walking distance. You can also get there by bus if you don't feel like walking. From Dafni you can reach Acropolis within 4 stops or Athens' city centre within 8 minutes. As the flat is located in the central south district you can access easily the beach front of Athens and the south districts where you can have a walk along the beach or enjoy your meal just a few metres away from the sea.
Other Things to Note
This is a residential area and my very neighborhood so please treat it with respect and discretion as I will continue to be living here long after your departure !!!
Make sure you lock the doors and close all windows every time you leave the house. Do not smoke in the house - not even in the guest bedroom. Respect Blanco and Sheena (the cats) :-)
We have a great collection of English books that you are welcome to share so please ask!
Thank you so much ! This was an excellent moment in your company. The flat is really cool, the room and the bed are nice, the place is clean and the cats are lovely (caresses to my new friends Blanco and Sheena).
The metro is 10 minutes from Christina's place and the district is so pleasant and quiet (in comparison with Athens center).
Christina and Argyris gave me good tips and were so friendly and helpful.
If you're looking for a quiet place and cool people, there you can go.
Thanks again !
Christina and her boyfriend were so helpful and friendly we loved staying with them! Although we were only there one night. They arranged to pick us up from the metro station which was great because the place would have been difficult to find having never been to Athens. The apt is about a 15 min walk uphill from the station but completely doable once you've figured out the route. The room was so clean and exactly what we needed. Loved the friendly cats as well!
When we were choosing our possible destinations, many ideas came to mind. Maybe France, maybe Amsterdam or even Berlin. Inês 1 really insisted on Athens, even though Inês 2 was quite reluctant. There was no direct flight and we would have to pay twice as much than if we went to any other destination. It didn’t take long to Inês 2 say yes, since knowing Ancient Greek culture was always a passion of hers. Today Inês 2 can’t thank Inês 1 enough for that idea - Greece couldn’t be better for us. It went beyond the absolutely astonishing amount of History, Culture and Mithology we learned. As portuguese people, we enjoy nice people, smiles and kind interactions, and you can’t beat the Greek on this. Even though we couldn’t spend enough time with Christinna and her fiancee, because, as she said, “We were very active” and always going out, her house and their personalities were perfect for us. They are a nice, smiley and helpful couple. The house was vintage and cute and the bedroom was super comfortable. As if this wasn’t enough, Christinna shares her city’s love for cats, and hers are adorable little creatures. Blanco was the loveliest company to have around when we got home. The house is not in the center and you have to walk a bit to get to Dafni (the nearest metro station), but for us it was defenitely worth it (and walking in Athens is just a pleasure). We were lucky to find Christinna and we will DEFINETELY come back!
Inês 1 and Inês 2 :)
Christina and her boyfriend were such amazing hosts! From the very beginning, she was extremely helpful and personable. She picked me up from the station upon arrival and gave a tour of the area so I could better gauge the neighborhood. She has the type of personality that you feel like you've been friends with her for years.
The location itself is great! A mere few stops away from the center.
I would undoubtedly recommend her place. I hope to stay there again when I return because my time in Athens was far too fleeting!
Christina was a fantastic host! She was really personable, communicative and made sure all our questions were answered. She suggested things to try and to do around Athens and even offered to pick us up from a metro station as we arrived to late into Athens. Moreover, her place was tastefully decorated and her cats are playful and adorable! I'd recommend anyone visiting Athens to contact her!
The reservation was canceled 39 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our stay at Christina's was great thanks to the "best hosts" in athens, which also includes Blanco (their playful cat) :). Christina went out of her way to make us feel home and shared some great tips on places where we could eat, given I'm a foodie to the core. Here's wishing Christina, her Finance and the cats all the very best. Highly Recommend that one stays @ Christina's if visiting Athens.
About the Host, Christina
I am very sociable and I love travelling and meeting people from all over the world. I also love animals - I am the proud owner of 2 adorable cats. I speak English and Italian and a bit of German. I have lived and worked in the UK and Germany but for the past 3 years I have returned to my hometown - Athens. I like to consider myself as an open-minded and self motivated individual. I am always looking for experiences that can make me a more complete person. I have the enthusiasm of a child which can sometimes prove to be stupid, but I live my life with no regrets. I am a terrible cook but I appreciate good food so I know a lot of great places to go and eat! I share the flat with my boyfriend. We are both very friendly and ready to be of any assistance during your stay in Athens! I look forward to meeting you!
