Is it possible to do a desert home without overdoing the "desert" decor? Yes, yes it is. This luxury new construction home was designed to be different than every other modern box or ranch home for rent in this region. Jewel Crest Joshua Tree is a 2-bedroom loft with an architecturally stunning, yet simple Scandinavian frame that boasts extraordinary 20-ft vaulted ceilings and a 12-ft spiral staircase with solid oak treads.
☽ INDOOR-OUTDOOR
If you are looking for a true indoor-outdoor experience, this place is for you. Chillax while being mesmerized by endless views of the outside from the comfort of the couch or dining table. This unique home is light-filled without the feeling of being in a fishbowl unable to escape from the harsh desert sun. There are two 10-foot walls of windows, one of which doubles as a bifold sliding door that completely opens to a 400-square-foot covered patio. Cook a meal in our fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, blender, food processor, quality knives, olive oil, salt/pep, spices, tea kettle, coffee maker, wine opener, and cookware) and enjoy it on the outdoor farm table. There is an outdoor fireplace AND a 4-burner propane BBQ grill available for you too.
☽ PERFECT FOR STARGAZING
Once you finish your outdoor meal and movie, have a soak in the hot tub while staring at the stars (the views of the Milky Way are incredible). If you are staying during the warmer months, take a dip in our professionally maintained cowboy tin pool (May-October).
☽ DESIGNER FURNITURE AND DECOR
In terms of design, this home leans in on a minimalist boho-scandi theme. Every detail was well thought out (might I even say overanalyzed) and hand-picked by me. The house is full of designer furniture from stores like Interior Define, Article, and Albany Park. Each room in the home includes a variety of live plants because #plantsarelife. If you love design, you'll get a kick out of the bathroom, which features 8 feet of gorgeous pink, red, and white Fireclay tile with brass finishes (for the love of god, please do not dye your hair here lol).
☽ COZY BEDDING
Catch up on sleep in our cozy bedding. If you are a stickler for a good mattress, then you'll be in heaven with our hotel-quality Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress and 100% cotton sheets. Past guests have commented that the mattresses are more comfortable than what they have at home.
☽ FITNESS AND ENTERTAINMENT
If you enjoy being active on vacation (hey, we're not judging), we've included some workout weights, kettlebells, and yoga mats on the patio for your convince. If you carry stress in your back, we threw in our absolute favorite portable heating/kneading back and neck massager shawl to help you work out the tension (located in the throw blanket basket next to the couch). There are also various card and board games. If you are too worn out for a game, cuddle up on the comfortable couch and watch TV or a movie (Roku provided) via Smart TV.

We aim to ensure that you have as comfortable a stay as you possibly can. Before you book, please read these important rules and disclaimers:
• NO PARTIES: Jewel Crest is perfect for a couples getaway OR 2-4 chill friends or adult family members looking for a grown and considerate quiet/relaxing oasis.
• ONLY REGISTERED GUESTS ALLOWED + OUTDOOR CAMERAS: We care about your safety and security. In an attempt to abide by county rules and regulations and ensure only registered guests enter the property, there is a Ring doorbell that includes a security camera at the front door. Only outward facing cameras are on the property and are recording 24/7. Please note that unregistered guests are not allowed. This also applies to guests just visiting for the day.
• NO SMOKING: This is a smoke-free home. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises.
• PHOTOSHOOTS/EVENTS: If you are interested in photoshoots, or events please contact us for pricing!
• WASHER/DRYER: Guests have access to the washer and dryer but please keep in mind that there may be towels/sheets in the dryer upon arrival. Our cleaners do multiple loads between each turnover and in order to maximize their time and keep the cleaning fee affordable, they may have to leave a few items in the dryer before they return. Feel free to remove these items and place them in the hamper above the dryer.
• WIND: During certain parts of the year, the high desert can get very windy. Please keep that in mind and bring a coat if you are visiting in the cooler months.
• STAIRS: There is no bathroom upstairs, so those staying in the 2nd bedroom loft will need to go downstairs to use the restroom. We have no issues getting up and down the stairs while sleepy. Just be sure to use the handrail.
• WIFI/CELL SERVICE: Almost all cell service works just fine out here. The house is equipped with satellite internet, but due to the nature of it being in the rural desert, there have been outages that cause a slow wifi connection on occasion.
• WILDLIFE + ANIMALS: Jewel Crest is located in the heart of the desert on 5 unfenced acres of rural land. We chose not to add fences to protect your views of the mountains and landscape. Because of this, you will likely run into wildlife/animals, please be respectful. If you are uncomfortable with encountering animals, this place may not be for you.
• EV CHARGER: Portable 110v to J1772 EV charger available upon request.
• EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK-OUT: Early Check-In: $75 for up to 2 hour early check, if available. We are unable to accommodate late check-outs.
• RENTAL AGREEMENT: After booking you will be asked to sign a rental agreement.
