Nice and elegant Trastevere one bedroom apartment recently renovated. A furnished terrace with stunning views over the city center makes this apartment a unique experience. The apartment is approx. 65 sq. mts. and is composed by a large living room with a double sofa bed, a kitchen, a bathroom with Jacuzzi and a master bedroom with a queen size bed. Amenities include air conditioning, wifi, tv, washer, dishwasher, independent heating. The area, Trastevere is very lively and is full of nice restaurants and cafes, it is the ancient part of the city and you will find the oldest church in Rome just around the corner. Supermarkets are at walking distance as well as a wide choice of grocery shops. All the sights are at walking distance.
Great apartment, loads of room and good air con. The terrace is amazing, pre and post dinner drinks listening to the party on the streets 5 floors below, plus skyline view of the city! I'm definitely coming back!
This apt and the neighborhood definitely lived up to our expectations! Paolo was very responsive and was able to accommodate our 10 am arrival. Carmen, the housekeeper, was still cleaning so we took the opportunity to explore Trastevere. The apt is right in the middle of the action (literally the meeting place of 5 streets), but was very quiet at night. The accommodations were as pictured, though the bathroom could use some work (not enough hot water, low pressure, old grout/tlle in tub). The apt was clean, spacious and the air conditioning worked very well. We also used the kitchen for simple things and it had everything we needed. The best part of staying here was the terrace. While it is 70 steps to the apt, it's right below the terrace. We went up every day for breakfast, lunch and drinks before dinner. Parts are covered so it didn't get too hot. The 360 degree views of Rome were unforgettable!
My son and I enjoyed our stay in Paolo's apartment very much. The location and the view from the roof were fantastic! I had a dental problem and Paolo was quick to help me find a dentist. There are many stairs up to the apartment so pack lightly!
What a fabulous apartment in the heart of Trastevere! We stayed for four nights and loved every minute of it. All of Rome is within a reasonable walk from this perfect location. The apartment is well appointed and the incredible roof deck was was perfect both day and night. The neighborhood is a bit loud, but that's what Trastevere is all about. It was simple to drown out the late night noise by closing the windows and turning on the built-in fan.
Paolo was terrific and responded immediately the only time we needed his help. We cannot recommend it more highly and hope to return...Grazie Mille!
Paolo's apartment was perfect for a short stay in Rome. Someone was at the apartment upon our arrival - even brough us some pizza and soda which was great after traveling. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We loved the roof deck! Would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Rome.
In prior emails I was asked to call the owner upon arrival in Rome. I did so - several times. The phone company indicated the person being called was unavailable (phone shut off). None the less, we took a cab from the Rome train station to the apartment and made another call from a local cafe. Same result. Walked up the hill to the apartment ring the doorbell. Thankfully a person answered, but not whom we were expecting to be there. Nonetheless, she showed us the apartment and answered our questions. She was very nice and accommodating. We were given the keys and a lll was well.]
Unfortunately, the write-up for the apartment did not mention that our rental was on the 5th floor of the building with no elevator. Being in our late 60's, that was quite a climb, especially since we had been up since 4am and rode the train from Florence before our arrival in Rome.
The apartment itself lacks character and is quite spartan. On the other hand, the roof balcony on the 6th floor is spectacular with great views of the river and Rome. The neighborhood is working class (which we like) with many local shops, markets and restaurants. It is also right across the river from major sightseeing opportunities.
I would definitely recommend to a younger couple with lots of energy, but not for those of us who would rather not climb 5 or 6 flights of stairs every time we come and go from an apartment.
I really did not ask this person to call me in any previous email. The ad clearly shows that the building does not have an elevator and obviously a terrace with such a view cannot be on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The neighborhood is high-end and not working class. The apartment has all modern amenities and it is not "spartan" at all. On the roof there is a very big terrace, not a balcony, with breathtaking views of the old city, but no river view.
This place was fantastic. The place is just as nice as the pictures show. The locations was great if you want to be close to some good night spots but away from heavy tourist sites. It is a little loud at night but that is to be expected with being on top of a great location. The place is close enough to walk to bus stops and hit all the major sites in no time. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody.
The apartment is ideally located.
Trastevere is a very typical and liverly area, and a contrario it can be a bit noisy at night.
For our week end with our two children it was really a good choice. Paolo description of the apartment and location is very truthfull.
The weather was not enough nice to take advantage of the terrasse but it is really a very nice place and the view is fantastic.
Wonderful stay in a wonderful apartment!
The apartment is just perfect. It is clean, comfortable, has all you need for a short stay. It is in the very heart of Trastevere, cosy winding streets around, nice piazzas around the corner, dozens of restaurants, lively atmosphere every evening, crowds of young people on weekend nights.
Close to the centre of town, though you will have to walk to some sights. It took me 10 min to go to Largo Argentina for example.
The beds are very comfortable. It has central heating, so it is warm in winter. WiFi works perfectly.
The major attraction of the lodging is its roof terrace. Spectacular! Even in January we spent a lot of time there. Fantastic views all around. You can see the Garibaldi monument on Janicular hill from your own roof. Lemons and roses in the pots.
Perfect place to see Rome, feel the atmosphere and have some relaxing time.
