Alexa's place was wonderful, and in an absolutely amazing neighborhood of Tacoma. She was very friendly when we met, gave us a tour, and ensured we had everything we needed. The flat was very clean and had a beautiful view of the park. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
What a fabulous, funky flat in a fantastic old building! Alexa was easy to work with and had a resident agent meet me at the apartment, let me in and show me around. The place was actually bigger than the photos led me to believe and I was delighted to find it well appointed and also spotlessly, white-glove clean! I loved the game closet full of art supplies, toys, books & games! The bed in the bedroom was super comfy and the pillows & linens good quality. I was in love with the original built-in trundle but can't imagine anyone adult-sized sleeping on it! Clearly, thought and planning went into so many details & made for a pleasant stay! I only regret that we couldn't stay longer and that we didn't get a chance to enjoy the charming patio due to the heavy rain that we experienced while there. I loved looking out over the park and people-watching out the many windows though! We hope to be able to visit again soon!
"Awesome." Mom's words as we pulled up to the historic building in the dark. It had been a really long day, complete with confusion and stress over another booking that didn't work out. She ended up being spot on. Deep gratitude for the last minute booking and apartment readying Alexa facilitated and the patient communication to coordinate it all. The space is s-p-a-c-i-o-u-s, a historic luxury apartment now belonging to a modern artist. Fantastic little rooftop terrace overlooking a park with a conservatory just a block away! Sadly we did not have time to enjoy either but we plan to return and do just that.
The rabbit pencil mural was much appreciated and the art throughout was unique and thought provoking. The sleeping spaces were perfect (read that in italics) for us. Minimalist white bedroom, tall ceilings, amazingly comfortable bed with extra down comforter in the closet and a red mirror that gave me a remarkable lesson. Mom couldn't have been more excited to sleep in the giant (and apparently quite comfortable) wall drawer of a bed, a historical oddity that thrilled her. Best of all they are so far apart that if, hypothetically, someone in your party snores like crazy, the the nice long hall ensures a peaceful night's sleep. Love you Mom!
The bathroom and kitchen were clean and tidy, beautiful tile, nice linens and great natural light throughout. The only improvement I would suggest would be to the pans for cooking; I'm sure it's hard with so many people coming and going, but non stick pans with the coatings peeling off weren't an option I could cook in. We will happily bring our own cast iron next time, but I felt I had to explain the one-star-from-perfect rating. The neighborhood was nice and quiet on a Sunday morning, perfect for sleeping in. A lovely neighbor actually ended up showing us is the night we arrived because it was late and Mom's first impression, which was only compounded for us both once we were in and looking around, was mirrored by my last; this place is awesome. Thanks again Alexa, we look forward to returning.
Alexa has a lovely place to stay. It's super tidy, well stocked & very well situated in the city. We love the balcony, the Giant Fluffy bed & the beautiful way the apt is decorated. We'll be back (again!). Thanks☺☺
Alexa was a perfect host. Easy contact, efficient and thorough. I would stay here again. Great walking location to just about anything you'd like; grocery, breakfast, lunch and dinner at various locations. Even a brewery not too far. Antique of a building adds flavor to the stay. Spacious apartment. Easy to entertain in or just spend time alone.
We had great communication with Alexa on our way to the apartment and really enjoyed our stay! She met us at the building and let us in, gave us a your of the space and the quirks of the building. We felt immediately relaxed in the apartment, and had such a wonderful time. We would come back again in a heart beat!
We were in Tacoma for a gym meet, 3 moms and 3 gymnasts, and found the apartment spacious and comfortable. Alexa was a great communicator and flexible leading up to our stay. She met us when we arrived and gave us a tour, making sure that we had all that we needed and were comfortable. There was a treasure closet full of games, toys, markers, paper etc. to keep our teens happy and entertained. It was lovely looking out the front window at Wright Park and the side window to Mt. Rainier. The location is perfect and the 1912 apartment fabulous. I'd loved to come back, spend more time in Tacoma and would definitely stay here again.
