About This Listing
**Please read the full description and let me know if you have any questions before booking a reservation :) **
I've opened up my very large daylight basement bedroom (approx. 11'x17') into a separate studio equipped with a make shift kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker- coffee included!-, dishes etc), a comfortable Queen bed, a separate entrance, a huge closet and a private bathroom with a shower (no tub).
I live next door to a really cute coffee shop, so you may be haunted by delicious smells in the morning : )
There's a fairly large TV down there with a built-in vcr but no dvd player (yet), however I have put some choice movies down there for your viewing pleasure : )
Within 6 blocks there are tons of restaurants, bars, a movie theater, 5 bus lines heading all over the city, not to mention one of my favorite parks (Gasworks)!
There is always parking within 1/2 block, so no worries about that.
I have a washer and dryer that will be made available to guests staying longer than 4 days (at your request).
-The driveway leading to the apt is a very steep slope down so if you have trouble getting around, this isn't the place for you (sorry!).
-I live on a fairly busy road that gets going around 8am and quiets down after 10pm, so if you need absolute quiet, you'll probably want to go another route.
Within 6 blocks there are tons of restaurants, bars, a movie theater, 6 bus lines (3 of which are right across the street!) heading all over the city, not to mention one of my favorite parks, Gasworks! It's located within a mile of the University of Washington and only 8 blocks from the Burke Gilman Trail, which is great for running or biking all throughout the city. Fremont is a 15 min walk away to check out some local art or hit up the best Sunday market citywide! And the best part? Parking is never a problem in this neighborhood!
There are 3 routes that run just in front of the house going Downtown and to the Seattle Center, as well as Fremont, University District and Greenlake.

Smoking outside only
Keep noise to a moderate level, especially at night, as sound travels fairly well in this house.
If you want to have a friend over, listen to music and drink a beer, I am ok with that, but please no parties down there.
I spent two weeks here working remotely and this room was perfect! It's situated really close to the main street in Wallingford, super easy to get to and from downtown Seattle on public transport or Uber, and has everything you need nearby including coffee shop (which also does great meals) next door, a little market a couple blocks away, and then the larger grocery store about six blocks away.
The room itself is everything one needs - spacious bathroom, closet to store your suitcase, awesome 90's selection of VHS tapes, a little desk, and a kitchenette section with dishes, a microwave, and fridge. Because it's basement level, it stays really nice and cool in warm weather, and due to its proximity to the cafe next door, you get to wake up smelling fresh coffee and baked goods - what could be better? Also, the bed is ridiculously comfortable, and the check in/check out procedure is super painless! One thing to note is that for people sensitive to noise, it is a really busy street, and doesn't die down till around midnight (but that's part of the reason I booked it because I prefer white noise), but it's really nothing too bothersome at all.
I will definitely stay in this laid back neighborhood next time I'm in the Seattle area! Sophia was in contact with me for whatever I needed.
Sophia, thanks for another perfect stay! See you next time.
My wife and I had such a great time. The studio was very cozy and the neighborhood was beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The coffee shop next door was also great. Sophia was very accommodating and there if we needed her. If I’m back in Seattle again I would definitely stay there.
Sophia's studio was fantastic! Friendly, kind, accommodating, and clean, it was everything you would want out of a great AirBnB experience! The neighborhood is lovely and walkable and charming, I don't have a bad thing to say about any of it. A lovely low maintenance, welcoming dream. I highly recommend staying here!
I was in need of a last minute reservation and Sophia was very quick in her respond. Everything was very easy, no hassle at all. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect - close to downtown and parking is easy to come by. I loved the coffee shop next door as well. I would stay here again and recommend the space to all. Thank you, Sophia!
