I enjoyed my stay with Maurice! He was very welcoming once we got there, and helped us all with our bags. He's very informative and lenient. So if you're looking to have a good time in the city, this the perfect place to stay. Or even if you just wanna lay back & unwind there's an awesome jacuzzi to enjoy as well! I stayed there for the weekend of my 21st... We were kind of iffy with us knowing how loud we are, especially while getting ready to get the night started.. But we were completely wrong. As we got to know him more he seemed to be really cool. Even supplied us a set of speakers, and told us to enjoy our weekend! If you ever need help getting around the city, or just need some extras sheets or towels, he's only a phone call away! I know for a fact we're coming back soon! ... You won't regret this stay :)
Me, my boyfriend and my parents visit New York for 8 days. We stay at Maurices apartment the whole time. The accommodation looked just the same, as on the figures, quite cosy and installed with a lot of love of detail. To cook on the fabulous gas stove and to be at the open window was brilliant. Everything was very clean and functioned impeccably. Also the pool.
Maurice was always there for us and very friendly, he gave us good tips and recommendations.
The neighborhood mainly consists of blacks and there is a Jewish community near. We felt secure but a little strange ;-)
The apartment lies exactly between two subway stations (both on Kingston Av). We needed about 7-10 minutes up to there. The nearest supermarket lay on the course to the subway and provided all the stuff we need. We need 10-15 minutes by subway to Manhatten and 30 minutes to Centrel Park.
I recommend this apartment and we will stay there again, when we visit New York again.
Great place! Exactly as described! Maurice was a pleasure to work with and available whenever we needed anything. Will definitely return here for my future NY trips. Very convenient and the neighborhood was nice. Maurice made our experience simple and comfortable.
Maurice went above and beyond any expectations we had for our trip. He is a fantastic host, his apartment is amazing, and if you are looking for a seamless trip to NYC, I encourage you to look no further. Maurice, thank you so much for the hospitality!
We had a great time in NY and a very pleasant stay in Maurice's appartment. It was spacy, clean, nice decorated, well equipped and exactly as shown on the pictures.
Subway station is about 10 minutes walking distance and it takes about 20 minutes to Times Square.
The neighbourhood is safe and friendly, a deli right around the corner for daily needs.
Maurice is a great host and made us feel very comfortable!
We can recommend this place and would stay there again!
Maurice was super nice and accommodating, and the apartment is on a nice quiet street with fairly easy parking. The front steps were a little daunting for my 86-year-old mother because there is no handrail, but we managed. The apartment was spacious and clean, though the dishwasher was inoperable and it is light on linens. But - all in all, a great stay for us!
We had a great time staying at Maurice's apartment! It was exactly as pictured in the photos with plenty of space for the four of us, a decent amount of kitchenware, good WiFi, and a reasonable ten-minute walk to the subway. The building is gorgeous and the apartment itself was nicely decorated and well-equipped for what we needed. Coffeepot, toaster, some pots and pans, all the essentials, plus there was a bodega right around the corner if we needed to grab or restock any essentials during our stay. We were in town to train at a local studio, and we especially appreciated the jacuzzi tub after a long day of dance classes!! It's a secure, locked building so we always felt very safe. We often got home from Manhattan after midnight and didn't have any problems walking through the neighborhood after dark. Maurice himself was responsive and eager to help whenever we had questions. It was really nice to know he lived downstairs if we had anything urgent come up - which we didn't, other than not being able to figure out the ice maker. :) Maurice was a wonderful host and invited us to stay again the next time we are in New York - I think we will!
