We enjoyed staying here. The back yard is quite and has an nice waterfront with a fire place. The breakfast was great and we had the pleasure to get to know some new people.

Karen made us feel like old friends in her delightful Victorian home. We slept exceedingly well on the comfortable bed and my husband declared the breakfast the best we'd ever had in all our B&B stays, and I would have to agree, especially with such an enchanting breakfast nook. All this and being near the river, too. A lovely place to stay.

This is a beautiful old house right on Main St in Calais. The room was spacious, lovingly decorated and very clean. Same goes for the bathroom. Also included a fabulous breakfast. Definitely recommend!

Karen gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. Her hospitality throughout the stay was great. Room had Victorian charm and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was always delicious, even served home made apple sauce she made from trees in the yard. Perfect and I will stay here again.

This was my second stay at Karen's. My wife and I both enjoyed it very much. The rooms are fine and the breakfast is outstanding. The location is very near the middle of town, but it is backed by the lawn and the St. Croix River as depicted in the view in the listing. Karen is a very warm and hospitable hostess who can give good recommendations about what to see and where to eat in the area and is an excellent conversationalist to boot.

I am a single woman living between Maine, Connecticut, and Fiorida.. I run a seasonal bed and breakfast in my riverfront home in Calais, Maine. I enjoy travel and meeting people from all parts of the world and hosting a bed and breakfast has been a wonderful way to accomplish just that.
