The Space

This is a lovely and charming loft in the woods of Wellfleet. The Barn was hand crafted years ago and built with many found objects both near and far. It is quite unique and full of local charm. It is an easy walk to Gull Pond or through the woods to Newcomb Hollow Beach, this property abutting the Cape Cod National Seashore is conveniently located for an outer cape vacation experience. Here find the most romantic beaches on Cape with dramatic dunes and vistas.
The Wellfleet Beachcomber at Cahoon Hollow Beach is a world renouned dance club and dont miss the 'Oyster Shooters' they serve at the oceanfront bar.
The historic Wellfleet fishing village is full of great restaurants, shops, galleries and pirate (website hidden) charters, surf lessons, boat rentals, kajak tours are all available in Wellfleet.
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy an outer cape experience.

  • An Adult tree house for two! We absolutely were in love upon entering the property.
The deck is spacious to sit and enjoy a cocktail or even lounge and sun bath. The open floor plan is perfect for a couple wanting to get away... Comfy bed, pillows, ceiling fan & floor fan were above standard. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, including bathroom towels and the basic kitchen utensils that anyone would require for a vacation getaway!!!

The location is of perfect proximity to all attractions of the Outer Cape. From the Beachcomber, amazing restaurants, the National Shoreline, tasty Ice Cream Shop in Wellfleet Center to Truro's vineyard and the Blackfish restaurant. Everything is at your disposal while staying here.
    We are excited to return.
Thank you to the host for offering a hidden gem.

  • This place was awesome. Super close to all the great beaches, secluded enough and relaxing. A short drive and you're in wonderful Provincetown. We were looking for a few days down the cape to chill out and de-stress. That's exactly what we got. No frills, but it has everything you need for a getaway.
David was a very accommodating host. There if you need him, but not in the way. Very friendly guy, and he had some great recommendations as to where to go. We'll be back next year for sure!

  • Our stay at David's place in Wellfleet wasn't completely what we expected. The place is located in a really nice and quiet area which is definitely great if that's what you're looking for.
However, the place itself disappointed us. The house and interior are pretty old and needed some replacements. Furthermore it needed a big clean out. There was mold in the bathroom and the shower tub was all blue-ish (i don't know what the original color has been). The kitchen is really really basic and could also use a refreshments.
Another thing that was a bit strange to us is that the place doesn't have any curtains. This means that especially at night when it dark outside and you have the lights on inside you kinda get the feeling that people can watch you. This is also kinda odd when you're in bed. If someone would come upstairs then they could see you laying in the bed.

  • Idéal pour un couple. Logement propre et fonctionnel. Équipement cuisine basique mais nous étions informés. Accueil sympathique de David.

  • Great location, really cute (website hidden) was very friendly and rides a longboard so he is ok in my book. Only downside is that there is no longer a stove. There was one in the picture however the description says "hotplate" which was provided. David was responsive in clearing up this discrepancy before we arrived and he informed us that the stove will be back for 2014. I recommend this (email hidden) to crash for a long weekend. I would consider coming back this summer so I can get a chance to use the sweet outdoor shower.

  • Just what we were hoping for. Quiet, peaceful and off the beaten path but very close to ponds, the ocean and Wellfleet.

  • David is a pretty chill (website hidden) was nice and clean when we got in and it's a very quiet spot to visit. Close to P town and closer to the beach and beachcomber! My girl friend and I loved it. Thank you so much!

  • We had a lovely, tranquil time in the loft. Excellent proximity to beaches, ponds, and town center, and off the main road, so it is very quiet. The loft is a veritable tree house, very comfortable bed, clean, good shower, nice deck.
Very minimal kitchen tools, but we were educated by previous reviews, and came prepared with kettle and french press, although there is a coffee maker provided. We have had many other trips to the Cape, so also came prepared with hand soap and other sundry items (salt, pepper, matches). We are hearty cyclists, so didn't mind walking the stairs, but this would be a consideration for some.

All in all, it was a great accommodation, and David (email hidden)anks!

  • Our stay in Wellfleet loft was a very tranquil and beautiful experience!

The loft is hidden away with absolutely beautiful surroundings. The loft is above the main house and has a great deal of privacy. Exactly what we wanted! David, our host welcomed us, and basically left us to it, he was very pleasant and made us feel welcome.

The loft is very airy and big with lots of space, bed comfy and generally clean. The loft itself is basic, as we came from Europe it was impossible for us to bring the basics for cooking etc, we used our imagination and got by!

Overall a wonderfully calm and rural cape cod experience and we would repeat!

  • Nice, clean, private accommodations. We like sleeping with lots of light, so not having curtains on the sliders - which faces the woods - was fine. Could be a problem for some. Location is great, off of Route 6 and a nice walk to the ponds. David was responsive when we needed anything.
