The Space

Centrally Located - Spaciouse Double Room - Paddington/ Royal Oak (W2) - with Great Public Transport Connections (incldg Nightbus)

Close to Bayswater, Notting Hill, Little Venice and Maida Vale

Nice large furnished double bedroom in houseshare with one other gay guy. Room has two large windows, TV, wardrobes, 2 chest of draws, a desk and chair - WIFI connection provided. There is a large share kitchen and big shared bathroom.

It's not luxery dwelling, but the room is about twice as big as an average London Hotel room, tidy - and you get to use a well equipped kitchen (with your own fridge plus you are welcome to use the small TV there too) and a large bathroom (with room to swing a cat)
I work from home (Spiritual Healer an Masseur), but don't see more than 2 clients a day, so it does not get in the way really (plus most guest are out and about when I work). Oh, and I am friendly and gay.

I'll provide bed linen and some towels. You are welcome to use some of my shampoo...

House is on a little cul-de-sac. Quiety most of the day. There is a school, church and old peoples home nearby though, so there is some traffic from these institutions. I do not hear it anymore, but will provide earplugs for lighter sleeping guests.

Room has no lock on the door, sorry. Will kock and wait though, if I have to communicate! (-:

Located 5 min from Royal Oak Tube; 9min from Warwick Av.; 15 min cycling to Soho (25 min by public transport); one stop from Paddington Station and 6 stops from St Pancras Intl..
Two bus lines 1min away (24/7 service). Some off-licenses (open 24hrs) just around the corner, as well as a laundry mat (though you are welcome to use the washing machine and tumble dryer).
Location is just across the tracks from Bayswater with lovely Queensway (great for shopping) on one side and across the canal from Little Venice.
There is several gyms in the area.
Traditionally the best and most affluent areas of London are the Center and towards the West (as the mainly west to easterly winds used to blow all the (coal)smoke out towards the eastern parts of town.)

Interaction with Guests

I have plenty of sharing experience and know that some people prefer to stay to themselves and others like a bit of a chat. I'll try to stay out of the way of the first and try my best to find some time for a coffee and chat for the latter.

I have lived in London for 13 years - so if you have any questions - I'll do my best to help.

  • The room was really exceeding my expectation. I knew it's big, but I didn't expect it to be this cozy. The room is extremely clean. With the big windows, it's also very bright. It has TV and everything you would need. You even have your own fridge. I was so attempted to cook. But was too lazy to do so. Alex is very nice person. He let me keep the key the last day so I can go back to pick up the luggage later. There's no hassle no drama. Easy stay and comfortable. Highly recommend! Plus, five minutes walk from the tube!

  • Alex was a great host! He is kind and great to chat too. He was very helpful with directions (bus stop etc.) and the night I arrived he stayed up an in until I got there although it was pretty late. His place is clean and comfortable and was just perfect for my short visit to fascinating London. I can't do anything else but recommend him and his place.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Alex for a quick three day trip to London and we had a wonderful time! Here's some of the reasons staying at Alex's was great:

    - Nice, quick walk to the Underground station (just under ten minutes or so)
    - Super easy to navigate our way into central London from Alex's place
    - Room was spacious, with plenty of room for our stuff
    - The bed was super comfortable
    - Our room, the bathroom, and the entire place was clean and welcoming

Alex was very friendly and helpful and even had the room ready early in the morning for us. This was especially great since we'd spent a lot of time travelling on planes and needed to take a quick nap before heading out to explore London. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

  • We spent 4 days in London and really enjoyed our stay at Alexander's place. Alexander is a cool guest, both discreet and helpful. The room is really spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. You'll have everything you need, even a privatized fridge :)

The house is well situated in a quiet neighborhood, close to 2 metro stations, and you can go quickly to the center of London.

If you like to walk, you should try to go to camden town through Regent Park, walking along the canal. It's lovely !

    Thanks Alex !
