I have two guest bedrooms with shared bathroom in an ideally situated apartment, in one of the most historical neighborhoods of Lisbon: Bairro Alto. Bairro Alto i well known by being the best place to party with all its bars, clubs nearby and restaurants that go from hip to typical. Besides this, it has traditional commerce and the most fashionable shops in the town. It is also really close to the truly beautiful spots of the city such as Chiado, Principe Real or S.Pedro de Alcantara.
By being such a central place, it is very easy to get here. You have the metropolitan only 5 minutes away, the Cais do Sodre train station is also only 10 minutes away, besides lots of buses and the tram (the actual Eléctrico 28 :)).
My home has three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen which you'll be able to use with no restrictions, my study/library, a living room and a nice little terrace where you can enjoy the magical light of the city! I can provide you clean sheets and towels.
I believe you will enjoy your stay here :)
Regina was very hospitable, and the location of her place was very convenient. There were no issues and she was very accommodating.
Regina cancelled our registration right on the day of our arrival without any prior notice. We tried to contact her the day before but she didn't answer. We got her message only when we were at the airport, just three hours before our flight. For us it meant that we arrived to Lisbon at 11:30PM without having any place to stay. It was a hard blow for our limited budget and took four days of our vacation but we finally managed to overcome the situation. Luckily, Lisbon is a magical, marvellous city and there are still many good, kind people who can help. Anyway, I wouldn't wish such an experience to anyone, so please make sure that your reservation won't be cancelled in the last minute if you book this room.
We stayed at Regina's for 4 days in the first week of January. Over all, the experienced was great becasue Lisbon is an amazing place and the LOCATION was absolutely perfect, right in Bairro Alto where all the bars are, but we must say that Regina didn't make any effort to make us feel that much welcome at all. The communication was awful too.
She didn't provide any information about places to go. She just answered to our questions about restaurants or bars to go, with a... "you are in Bairro Alto you know, everything is right there!" leaving us with a puzzled face.
The room is stuffed with humidity. There was a big sheet covering a wall almost falling down with dampness. The bed was good and big but the pillows where awful. Just thin, almost flat cushions. The heating in the room was good: nice electric heater you could switch on and off as you please!
The house wasn't that clean as some other references mentioned before. If you rent out one room in your place and charge for it, you should clean the whole house you know! What a kitchen and toilet!! :S
And to top it off, on our first night we left a cake on the kitchen's counter and some milk in the frigde and to our surprise, the milk was gone the morning after and the cake was missing a big part.
I stayed at Regina's apartment for 4 weeks in November and the first few days of December and it was an ideal spot for a longer-term stay. The apartment itself is located on a quiet street in Bairro Alto, but is within easy walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and shops. It's also located near many of the main sites in the city and metro and train stations! My bed was big and incredibly comfortable, the shower is hot and has great water pressure, and the kitchen is stocked with all your basic cooking utensils. Regina and her roommate Mikaela were wonderful hostesses and roommates-- respectful of my privacy and independent schedule but very warm and friendly. They were happy to answer any questions I had, even recommending the tutor I ended up using to study Portuguese. I felt comfortable and safe in the apartment, even when leaving for a few nights in Spain and keeping some of my possessions (laptop included) at Regina's apartment and, though we had very different schedules, Regina and Mikaela were both always considerate when I was sleeping, (website hidden)ing, etc. I wholeheartedly recommend staying with them, whether for a short or more extended stay! The only suggestion I would make is that you pack something warm to sleep in as the apartment gets quite chilly (though it was also an unusually cool November for Lisbon!) This is true throughout Lisbon though, since central heat is quite rare. Overall, I had an incredibly positive experience in this apartment and will recommend this apartment to any friends or family visiting Portugal!
Easy to get to and great area. I wouldn't rate cleanliness too high but for what your paying it is what it is. Regina was very nice.
Régina is a very lovely and open-minded person, we had a very good stay in her apartment. the bed was very good and the hosting was perfect! In the heart of " Barrio Alto" this place is perfect to visit the city and to go out and enjoy bars and restaurant. VIVA LISBOA!!
Super cool neighborhood high on the hill. Many small restaurants, bars and views nearby. Smoking allowed inside and outside of the unit. Good kitchen and laundry facilities. Host and roommate were kind and very helpful.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

Regina has been a great host. She is very nice, laid back, and helpful. The apartment is perfectly located, big and charming. Beside the little humidity that disturbed my friend that was allergic to it, everything went well. I definitely recommend Regina's place !!
