We enjoyed a wonderful week at the house - it was a fantastic place to stay. Thibs was very friendly and welcoming. You get three stories of authentic French charm, with lovely rooms, furniture, modern kitchen, great pool, garden and quirks like the wonderfully creaky floorboards! It is serene and quiet, whilst near to the main roads you need for getting around. It was a lovely place to spend time, but also is an excellent location for exploring the many attractions of the Perigueux area, such as the castles, beautiful medieval villages, world famous prehistoric cave paintings and dwellings, canoeing and high ropes course on the Dordogne and more. The food and wine is also excellent everywhere. Would definitely go back.

This is a very interesting and comfortable place. The location is beautiful with fields of sunflowers, a lovely river we canoed/kayaked and a stunning cliff-dwelling 12th Century fortress close by.

The mill is stunning with lovely countryside all around, nice and easy to get to the local attractions such as Sarlat and Rocamadour a little further away. The pool and terrace are delightful with good parking alongside. The original mill workings are fascinating and the soothing rushing water sounds go some way to masking the original creaky floorboards. I could not find any mention of an €80 charge for cleaning on the advertisement but I am assured by the owner this will be changed. The owners were very welcoming and had even left some coffee and filters for us to grab a drink on arrival. Overall we loved it and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Overall, a wonderful experience. We only wished we could have stayed longer. If you want an unusually charming experience, in a converted mill, with modern amenities, this is definitely the place for you. The house is full of fun features, with lovely terraces, fantastic views, and a beautiful pool. The kitchen is very modern and living spaces are airy and big. Rooms are smaller, but have everything you need. We were a group of 9 adults and more than comfortable. There are three full bathrooms, one with a very small shower, and outdoor shower by the pool. The only drawback is that the old floors creak, so it's hard not to make noise as you walk, especially on the top floor. The hosts could not be more welcoming and accommodating, offering any help needed, even printing out a boarding pass and handing out extra toilet paper and dishwashing soap. Also, as they run a B&B next door, they are easy to reach. The surrounding area is quite beautiful. There are hiking and biking trails a plenty. River Canoes and Kayaks is 2 minutes away on the river. We highly recommend a paddling trip down the Dordogne River for amazing views of numerous castles and perched villages. Shops and restaurants are close by, and there are countless interesting visits ranging from the prehistoric caves (Rouffignac being our favorite), castles, markets, villages, and more. All in all, we can't recommend this place enough and hope to return ourselves some day.

We traveled with two families--4 adults and 5 teenage kids. Lots of space in the house for everyone. It is a unique place--tons of character and is located in a beautiful, sleepy little town. The house itself is very old, with accompanying creaky floors and quirky spaces. The bedrooms and living spaces are not very updated, but function fine. The bathrooms are quite tiny and only two out of the three showers function. The pool and yard are beautiful and add a lot to the house. Although nothing is posh, it is unique and fun.

Thibs and his mother Francoise were exceptionally warm, welcoming and friendly. The house and pool are even better in reality than the photographs and description. It was ideal for our family of six but would be just as good for ten. The location is excellent and the village is beautiful. Highly recommended and we will definitely return. Make sure you feed the donkey in the field near the church. Staying at the mill was an outstanding experience.
