The Space

The apartment is a flat in a 100 year old Victorian home with some old world touches and many modern conveniences. Nestled between the Castro District and Haight-Ashbury District you are in convenient walking distance to two of San Francisco's great neighborhoods and close to public transportation. This is a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco.
Eat breakfast at the dining table overlooking the eastern side of San Francisco with views of Downtown, the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and the east bay.
This is a large bedroom in the middle of the house right across from the bathroom. The room is about 12x12 with plenty of room to move around and get comfortable for bed. The bed is a queen size bed with end tables so set a glass of water, your watch and keys, or other things you may need handy..
Wake up in the morning to take a shower in the vintage claw-foot tub, make yourself a hot cup of coffee or tea using the Keurig Single Serve coffee brewing machine--we have a variety of coffees, teas, and some other choices.
If you're needing a bit of downtime, enjoy a bit of television in the common living room. Kick back on the Lay-Z-Boy recliner or just have a glass of wine to wind down.
The house is ideal for people looking for a quiet oasis from the city. It's a non-smoking house, but you can enjoy a smoke on the balcony overlooking the city.
Nearby street parking is usually available, or we're about a 10 block walk to the Castro Muni Metro Subway stop (there are other buses nearby to take you just about anywhere you wish to go)

Guest Access

Guests have access to the kitchen and balcony to cook/eat and enjoy the view of san Francisco with morning coffee or evening tea/wine/cocktail if desired.
the main bathroom is shared along with the kitchen and deck.

Interaction with Guests

I tend to leave it to the guests to decide. If people are chatty I am very interactive but if they prefer be left alone, that works for me as well.
I do live here and I occasionally work from home so I'm around a bit, usually evenings and weekends.

Getting around

There are several Haight street buses a couple blocks away.
N-Judah MUNI stop is 3 blocks downhill.
Castro street muni station is about 8 blocks away.
I also recommend lyft or uber over taxi cabs if you need to get somewhere in a hurry.

  • Keith was an amazing host and helped make my stay in San Francisco very comfortable and enjoyable. He truly cares about his guests and spends a lot of time and energy making it a very welcoming space. The view from his patio of San Francisco is stunning. I highly recommend this accommodation!

  • Keith is an ideal AirBnb host and his place is great for someone coming in from out of town. OK. Let's get the obvious out of the way. The view from his kitchen in amazing. Yes, just like in the photos, but that is not his special sauce.

The rooms are well kept, the furniture is quality, and the bed literally envelopes you. This being said, the spice to Keith's place is in his hospitality (At one point during my stay, I had to get across town for a meeting and Keith said, "Ah, I need to get out of the house, how about I drive you." My jaw dropped, because it was exactly what I needed at the moment.) and the amenities. Scattered around the apartment, are all the little things that you might have forgotten but are nice to have when traveling (toothpaste, mouth wash, a coffee, French or American style, etc. In other words, he's got the little stuff that you don't think really matters, but when it's at your finger tips you love the convenience.

Great place and would definitely go back.

  • Keith is a really nice guy. Great kitchen. Breakfast on the balkony with the view over San Fransico beats the most. The room was nice. Large, clean bathroom. Nice quiet neighborhood, walking distance (10-15 minutes) to Haight, Golden Gate park, Castro etc, and trams 3-4 minutes away. I had a great time and would definitely consider (email hidden) again.

  • Keith was exceptional. His place is everything he says it is and more. The view is stellar! The kitchen is very organized and clean all the time! He is smart and can tell you all about the city and where to go. I highly recommend Keith and this place!

  • Keith's place was truly a haven for our stay in San Francisco. It was clean, cozy and Keith was a friendly and funny host. The room is lovely, the bed very comfortable, the house was warm after a long day and evening sight seeing. To come back to a gorgeous view from the balcony - in the morning over breakfast and at night sipping on a hot apple cider tea! Ahhh!
The location is ideal being so close to funky cafe's and restaurants, transport to the CBD is nearby, and there are beautiful houses in the area to just wander about and admire. No need to go to the painted ladies!
We also appreciate being able to stay at late notice thanks to the instant book feature, after a mishap with another place. I would definately recommend staying at Keith's house.

  • I was in a dire need to get a re booking after the current had to cancel. And Keith pulled through when nobody else answered in the dead of night. Everything felt like home and equivalent to a really nice hotel I've been to. Although this is my first time using the airbnb service, I believe I will book this place again for next year if it's still available.

  • Very nice apartment in great neighborhood. The view to the city is amazing. Keith is also very nice and laid back person.
As I just moved to the city, he was very helpful in all matters. I could use almost anything in the apartment, including food or beverages.
    I wish I could stay longer :)

  • Another great stay with Keith. Love having a cup of coffee on the porch and taking the view in, before diving into the city. Will be back!
