In the picturesque and exclusive suggestive location of the famous Vicolo Lavandai (Alley of the Launderers) , we propose a lovely studio / pied-à-terre furnished and equipped. On the first floor of a characteristic building of the eighteenth century, in a quiet backyard, it is composed of a large room, where every detail has been taken into consideration to preserve and recall the atmosphere of that place, but at the same time offering everything you need to spend a pleasant stay in Milan for business, tourism, study, etc.. The kitchenette with two hotplates, refrigerator and all what is necessary, is concealed behind the doors of a wooden taylormade cabinet , so as to match perfectly with the style of the furniture. The sofa bed is of excellent quality, such as the double bed. The hygienic services have a shower. The studio has an oak-beamed ceiling and the original wooden floor.
Prestigious position. Very good quality.
A very typical spot of Milan that exudes the history of every life day, as it was once, and did not know the comfort of washing machines is the Alley of the "Lavandai". It is located along the Naviglio Grande and it is still possible to admire the old wash house where housewives were washing their laundry by hand. It takes water directly from the Porta Ticinese marina and flows back to the Naviglio Grande. Since the end of (phone number hidden) it was used as a wash house of the poorer classes, who then set up a real activity servicing the wealthy families. Here "I Lavandee" (initially men and later women) knelt on the wooden boxes called "Brellin", often containing a pillow covered with leather. In addition to the historical aspect that characterizes the Vicolo Lavandai, it is located in an area of definite attraction not only touristic but also commercial as it is linked to the Milan nightlife. On the banks of the canals ( I Navigli) there are the most important and historic bars and restaurants of Milan, and every evening comes to life the famous Milanese movida. The zone is moreover very central, less than 5 km from the inner town center and connected with the rest of the city by subway and by surface transportation.

Everything was perfect, the house is very cozy, well kept, perfectly located and in a beautiful old building. In the middle of the nightlife area of Milan within short walking distance to the center. Close to the subway, tram, super well connected. Staff was very professional, kind and accommodating. I highly recommend it! We will back for sure.
L'appartamento di Vicolo dei Lavandai a Milano è stato molto confortevole e perfetto per la sua localizzazione. Marco è stato davvero gentile e tempestivo nel venire incontro alle nostre esigenze.
Great apartment, great location, right on Navigli.
Saturday/sunday Navigli flee market is worth a visit!
Appartamento bello, caratteristico e funzionale, nella via piu' bella della città di Milano, con locali, servita benissimo dai mezzi.
Che dire.. sono stata benissimo, non mi è mancato nulla.
Lo consiglio vivamente!
First let me say that the team at Temporary House went above and beyond to resolve some issues that occurred. Marco, Gianfranco, Andrea, Carlo - all put forth a huge effort to ensure our comfort and we really appreciate that.
We took the studio flat on Vicolo Lavandai. The flat itself was sufficient for our short stay. The bed we found to be a bit small so we decided to use the sofa bed as well but could not locate sheets or a blanket - the next day that was taken care of perfectly by the TH team.
There was an issue with the hairdryer - it did not fit in any of the outlets so once again the team worked to fix that for us.
There was also an issue with internet connection. Carlo came by and was able to adjust the router and we had connection. They even told us we would not have to pay to make up for the difficulty.
I would suggest they get an espresso maker so people could make coffee in the flat but just downstairs there is a delightful coffee and cupcake shop with a wonderfully friendly owner so no worries there.
The flat is located in a great area close to restaurants and public transport. It was very quiet and has a beautiful courtyard.
I would use the Temporary House team again and absolutely recommend them.
We had a very nice time in Milano. The apartment was located in a very nice and charming area, Navigli, which now became our favourite area. ;) It has a lot good restaurants around and the best ice cream shop ever!!!! The apartment was very beautiful, new, clean and well decorated. Few blocks from the metro station.
Marco, Gianfranco and their assistant were all very kind to us.
It would be a big pleasure for us to go back to Milano and stay again at their place. We definitely reccomend this apartment.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for a perfect stay in milan, the apartment was beautiful and very well located. The arrival in the late evening was no problem and we were warmly welcomed. I can highly recommend the apartments of Marco.
We enjoyed our stay during Salone even more with the great location near Zona Tortona. The canal around the corner is surrouned by restaurants and cafes. Great.
For us the bed was a bit small, but there was a sleeping couch.
The conctact with Marco was good and he was really flexible. We are definitely coming again!
We enjoyed our stay at the apartment a lot. The location is great and the apartment is charming, especially the beautiful patio.
Unfortunately, the internet rates were so high that we decided not to pay for it. You can find wifi anywhere around that place, anyway.
It was a friendly, cosy apartment in a very nice neighborhood.
Marco and his friend were very kind and helpful.
A place to remember and to return to.
Thank you for your hospitality.
