Jonker Street – the centre street of Chinatown – was once renowned for its antique shops. However over the years it has turned to clothing and crafts outlets as well as restaurants. The best part of Jonker Street is the night market on Fridays and Saturdays that sells everything from tasty treats to cheap keepsakes.
Dataran Pahlwan - A one-stop megamall from the latest fashion to culinary delights to an adventurous indulgence for everyone! Situated in the heart of historical Melaka, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall is surrounded by living museums way back during its historical reign namely A' Famosa and St Paul's Hill that illuminate the neighbouring areas. Imagine yourself walking back in time to the birth of the once glorious trade port between the East and West at the Straits of Melaka as you walk along these historical monuments.
UNESCO - Malacca was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO. Its heritage buildings, cultural enclaves and places of worship are visited by history buffs and tourists from around the globe. Participate in the exciting anniversary celebrations to commemorate the historic occasion.

Honestly, when I arrived at the destination, me and my family had a shock of our lives as we thought Waze has taken us to the wrong place. The surrounding area was horrible. It basically is a low- cost flat! The stairways leading up the flat is dirty. But once we get into the flat, its really cozy, homely and very clean. My kids love it as it feels like home, they said. However, I will not recommend light sleepers to book this flat as you can hear noises and sounds throughout the night and people talking next door or upstairs. The wooden door lock needs to be fixed. Its convenient if you are travelling by car.
The apartment is small yet cozy. We really love the interior design and the effort put in to decorate the house. Kudos to Cami for briefing us in detail on the areas to visit nearby, she even provided us a map which is really useful. It's quite a far walk from the apartment to Jonker Street. However, we really enjoyed the walk as there were a few hidden gems along the way. There's a Chinese restaurant (满庭香) just on the main road outside of the apartment which has yummy dim sum that are reasonably priced! We've also visited a Thai massage spa that opens till 1am, which is great after a long day of walking. Also, along the way, there's a Kota-Kota Jonker Street Hawker Centre which has a great variety of local food that's not to be missed :)
The only boo-boo about the apartment is that there's no stove, hence we can't prepare our own meals. But given that there's so much good food around the area, that's perfectly fine for us.
This apt is very comfy and warmth. Location is near to major attractions. Had a good experience staying here :)
Apt is in a quiet area near Jonker walk, so eateries abound.
There're 2 showers but only 1 toilet and its a bit cramp so big guys will find it a tight squeeze.
No towels provided so rmb to bring ur own.
Wifi's a bit slow.
Water and coffee provided. Apt's very clean and nicely decorated.
A good value for money experience which worked for a quick break in Malacca.
The neighbourhood is definitely local but feels reasonably safe. You feel a bit out of the way, even though you're only a 15 min walk from town - we never walked it and got taxis, but hailing a taxi from near the apartment did prove to be difficult. Taxi drivers also didn't really know where to go, so we had to carry around the map Cami provided.
Cami was great and accommodated us coming in quite late on the Friday. The place is well furnished and water is provided (but towels are not). Particularly liked her map so you had a sense of where things were.
Just be aware that you have to pay a 150 RM returnable deposit in cash on arrival, so that you have it on you.
This is our 1st time stay at homestay and it's make us a very good memory and experience!
Clean environment, very nice design as photo show, and very convenience distance to town.
It was a very pleasant stay in this residential apartment. The interior décor make you really feel like at home. Will come back again. :)
