  • I would highly recommend this beautiful place. The nature is in front of de house and it feels very comfortable to stay there. The place is beautifully decorated and has everything your heart could desire. It is really "Magical!.... Wow!..... What a Find!!!" :-)

  • Wonderfully quiet, verdant setting with all creature comforts met beautifully. And fun reading material! Thoughtfully decorated and supplied with local hike and event info. Must return soon!

  • Great little place right next to Volcano National Park. Comfortable bed and includes everything you need for a nice stay. Be sure to stop at supermarket in Hilo to stock up on supplies as you won't find too much at general stores nearby.

The location is perfect for exploring the park (Kilauea Iki trail is a great little 4 mile trail that takes you through rain forest and directly across a crater floor) and if you like wine, check out Volcano Winery for some tastings. Not too far from Hilo or Black Sand Beach to you can see those two areas without too much difficulty either.

  • Very nice cottage, clean, spacious, comfortable, silent. Big kitchen, awesome lanai and garden. Perfect location to explore Volcano National Park.

  • Absolutely the best place out of 5 visited during our Hawaii stay. The host put a lot of effort so you feel taken care of. We wish we could stay longer. This was a magical one and our little one was in love with it as we are and we will recall it forever!

  • This is a lovely cottage in a very quiet location. The cottage is spotless, well equipped (appliances and crockery in excellence condition) and very very comfortable. It is ideally located for exploring the volcano and area. I would recommend it to others whole heartedly.

  • Very clean and comfortable habitation in a quiet and secure environment. It is located close to Volcano National Park (5 minutes’ drive) in a forest environment (with many species of trees and interesting birds). Highly recommended.

Endroit intéressant. Environnement différent des plages. Vous êtes en milieu forestier (c'est plus humide) à 5 minutes de voiture du parc national des Volcans.

  • This is a very luxureous cottage, everything was there. It was large, especially for two persons. We found it a great place to stay, conveniently located to the park.

  • This hideaway in the rainforest had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable and self - sufficient. It was a great base to explore the east, south & west areas of the island from. Handy to the National Park so could pop down there in the evening just to see the Crater's glow or spend the day exploring the park, we dined at Volcano House to celebrate an anniversary & this was special. But plenty of other facilities close by. Will definitely recommend for a short or long stay.

  • The one bedroom detached house was super clean, really cute, and very well decored. It was a very relaxing stay and we felt at home for the one day we were there. We only hope next time we can stay longer. Volcano is a really sleepy town, but it has a fantastic natural environment, minutes from the Park, and has a few solid restaurants (vegetarian cafe, do it!). Only one thing less than optimal - laundry is only for 4 nights or more renters. This was buried in the description, so I cannot fault Leslie, but just something to note for planning purposes. A great place!

My father was in the military so growing up I moved often, having gone to six different schools. After I graduated high school I myself moved to Hawaii, and have lived here 35yrs, so this is home. I worked mostly in the 5star resorts in either the tennis or boating industries, and the last 15 years have been in my 'career' of massage therapy. I think my growing up in different places/countries, employment in the hospitality industry, having designed and physically built a few homes, and now working in the healthcare... has all brought me to this enjoyed venture of providing something a bit more than expected for the visitor who has gone to so much expense and trouble to appreciate this island. I'm blessed with a husband who joins me in this effort and helps to make it possible.
