A small town in a big city, Kazimierz owes its unique atmosphere to the historical neighbourhood and has many interesting attractions: galleries, antique shops, small restaurants, cafes and pubs. Nice apartment, centrally located and clean with everything you need for a short stay in Krakow. In the Jewish district, more bohemian and charming and very close to the historic center, most cosmopolitan
Excellent location, overpriced for what you actually get.
We have mixed feelings about our experience at Jacek and Natasza's place. On the one hand, our hosts were respectful and professional in all communications with us, their apartment is in a superb location, and our overall experience in Kazimierz will make for wonderful memories. On the other hand, the apartment itself lacked regular upkeep and that was clear throughout our stay: the microwave door was broken, so was the shower head, and the shower doors came off its hinges all too easily if you weren't aware to treat them super gently. Worst of all, on day one, it turned out the wifi wasn't working and wouldn't work for the duration of our stay. No biggie, since we were on vacation, quite a problem though since we had a few work obligations that required Internet access and had to actually go out to fulfill them (fortunately, wifi is abundant in Krakow's bars and cafes). After our inquiry, Jacek agreed to reimburse us for the malfunctioning wifi, but no such thing happened.
All in all, we didn't dwell on those little issues and had a blast. We definitely recommend Kazimierz as a place to stay and hang out in Krakow; we'll definitely do it again in the future, and we'll probably use Airbnb. We'll just stay away from this particular location. It's nothing major and/or personal, but considering the nightly rate and the fact we spent very little time inside, those minor glitches made the apartment seem overpriced for what we actually got. At least in our eyes.
We had a great time in Krakow and in Jacek and Natasza house. The flat is confortable and cozy. The house is in the jewish area near night life district and 15 minutes far from main square, very strategic!
This apartment is beautiful, clean, centrally located and has everything needed for a short or extended stay in Krakow. Modern amenities with warm wood tones and comfortable beds and couches and a balcony made it perfect for our group of four. Jacek was a great host and I could tell he knew what he was doing: made sure we had everything we needed (keys, towels, even helped us work the laundry machine) and was very easy to communicate with. If you come to Krakow (which you should! its a beautiful little city), I definitely recommend this or one of Jacek's other apartments.
My husband and I and our friend spent three nights at Jacek and Natasza's flat in Kazimierz and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The flat is surprisingly spacious and very well-stocked with everything you need for eating in or doing laundry, and the living room area is super comfortable for three people. We all loved the views from every window, of the rooftops of so many buildings in this very historic neighborhood. Some people have cautioned about the five flights of stairs with no lifts, but I want to point out that I travelled extensively throughout Central Europe during my trip and found this to be not at all uncommon--it is not a detraction from the charm or comfort or location, just something to know ahead of time so you can be prepared. I cannot overstate how incredible the location is: you are right in the heart of Kazimierz and meters away from great restaurants, bars, and cafes--the best meal I had in Poland was around the corner from this flat. A block to the south is the foot bridge to Podgorze where you find more history, a more sobering vibe but a visit that is not to be missed. If you are interested in the history of Jewish Krakow, there is not a better location. The historic center is a fifteen minute walk, super easy, and honestly Kazimierz has a better vibe, not throbbing with tourist hordes. Everywhere we went we found kind, patient, generous people willing to help us with our total language barrier. I loved Poland and I hope to return someday.
We spent a great time in the flat of Jaczek and Natasza. The flat is really beautiful, clean, bright, modern and perfectly located. Jaczek was very nice and had great tips for us and our time in Krakow. I would definitely recommend this place!
It was a pleasant stay overall. The apartment is located in a great spot, with nice pubs and restaurants all around. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, as can be seen on the photos.
Jacek was a great flexible host, arranging is schedule around my arrival. The flat is super clean and is in the best part of Krakow. If your don't mind some stairs, this is a great spot.
It was a very comfortable appartment and the organization went smoothy and accurately.
