  • I have stayed at Pegi's lovely home before, so this was a second visit. My son came also and there was plenty of room for us. One of us was on the couch, but Pegi had an electric blanket so all went very well. My old dog, Tater had a great walk around Pegi's expansive property. We just stayed one night, but it was a very nice visit. Thanks again, Pegi!

  • Pegi is great! She was so welcoming to all of us - my husband dog and 3 month old. The room was very comfortable and the fireplace was ready to go! I was able to start a fire with a baby in one arm. :) in the morning we had wonderful french press coffee and fresh cookies. Thank you Pegi!

  • We had a great time in bend staying with pegi. The room was fantastic and the outdoor space unbeatable for a pup. Our dog didn't have an issue, but her cat is outdoors a ton so be sure your animal is cool with that. She's outside of town but not in a bad way... Easy drive in and it provides a nice getaway feel. Pegi was nice and accommodating and always up for a chat. Have fun!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Pegi's beautiful home. The home is just outside of Bend so it was very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get downtown quickly. Lilo (our dog) enjoyed the huge fenced back yard to run and play in.

To top it off Pegi bid us farewwell with fresh baked cookies for our drive back home. We will be back!

  • Wait... we didn't mention the cookies. The departing chocolate chip cookies were sublime and enjoyed by all of us on our long drive home!

  • I don't know where to start, personally there aren't enough stars to adequately rate Pegi and her fabulous home! We rented her pet approved suite as we traveled with our slightly wretched half breed and then we picked up our ten year old son who elected to stay with us as well. Pegi's suite was amazing. It wasily housed all of us and our gear comfortably. Her bed was divine to fall into after a day of driving or playing in the nearby Sun River resort. Her home is an easy ten minute drive from downtown Bend and 15 minutes from Sun River. Her backyard is a fenced acre and provided (email hidden)ly game of frisbee golf and an amazing place for Sophie to romp around and explore!
We elected to try her $5 per person breakfast and had an abundance of fresh fruit salad, an array of pastries and tons of coffee and orange juice. It was a well spent $5!

Pegi herself is charming, gracious and easy going. Truly her place could be a vaction unto itself or as we used it a launching pad for an active day's adventures and then a serene place to curl up and relax. Our suite has a fireplace, which we didn't use, but it would lend itself to being here in snow season and curling up with a good book or simply watching a little TV on her flatscreen. If you're ever in this neck of the woods Pegi's lovely home hands down beats any of the surrounding commercial hotels or motels.

  • Pegi is an enthusiastic, welcoming host. The cabin fever room is delightful, spacious, and clean. The entire home and grounds speak volumes of her creativity and vision for a secluded alternative to crowded resort-style accomodations. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pegi's re-imagined B&B, and I think you will too!

  • This is a fabulous place, making a perfect backdrop for our Bend experience, a very vibrant town. We chose this room because we wanted to try traveling with our little long-haired doxie and had always left her in a kennel. We brought a crate, as requested, in case we needed to leave her in the room for a short time unattended, but chose to keep her with us. The easy exit to the large fenced backyard provides lots of exercise for a dog.

The spacious room with it's wonderful bed, comfortable sitting area with large TV (great for watching the Olympics!), and luxurious bathroom make this a very special rental. Pegi has coffee and tea ready early each morning and we added our own breakfast fixings. She thoughtfully sets out the Bend Bulletin newspaper to go with the coffee! The umbrella tables on the deck and a cozy gazebo are all inviting places to relax and enjoy the beautiful country setting while snacking, visiting or reading a good book.
The final surprise--Pegi sent us on our way with some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Her hospitality is truly the best.

  • Pegi shared her beautiful home with us and our two dogs. She was welcoming, friendly and very gracious. We left feeling relaxed and a bit spoiled. We hope to stay with Pegi again in the future.

    July 2012
  • Pegi's space is so warm and inviting, with great energy encouraging creativity. Pegi and I worked on a craft project together and had a wonderful time. Our dog Maggie had such fun in the fenced yard. We met 2 other couples who were also very interesting to talk with. Can't wait for an excuse to return. Next time, maybe without Larry so I can try to newly remodeled "Beach Room".

I moved from Chicago to Bend in the summer of 2011 to be closer to my parents who retired here 26 years ago. I recently purchased this home on 2 1/2 acres of incredible quiet country land within the high desert of Central Oregon. I love to meet new people and hear their stories. Airbnb is the chance to do this and share my home with you. We look forward to your visit to enjoy a tranquil country setting with all the comforts of a B&B and great hospitality. Central OR has so much to offer year round, who wouldn't want to come for a visit? Come inside and see our sunshine on Stormy Lane!
