A renovated stone farmhouse in a tiny village that's 10 min. from the sea. Owned by the co-author of the Bradt Travel Guide to Istria, Thammy Evans, and her husband Vic, the home sleeps 8-12, has a private pool, fireplaces, and all the amenities.

The space
Although the house comprises three spaces, we rent it out as one space. The space sleeps 10, and even 12 or 14 if you don't mind a pull-out sofa. The prices on AirBNB assume 8-10 guests - so we will adjust it up or down if you are more or less guests than that - - except during peak season (July - August) where the prices are fixed irrespective of the number of guests.

Before joining AirBNB, we had created a web site with information about the area and pictures of the house - although all of those pictures are now here. The house is called Ty Istra if you want to find it on the web. If you don't find answers to your questions here (or there) - don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks for looking!

Where you’ll be

Dračevac, Istarska županija, Croatia

In addition to the obvious attractions during an Istrian summer, the house, with its two open fireplaces, is also very welcoming over the Christmas and New Year holiday period. Other rental properties are available in the village if you’re looking to accommodate for a larger reunion.
In terms of the village itself, it is small, with no shop or restaurant, though there is an old chapel, former school with small playground and some 'petank' courts on the edge of town.

During your stay

Although we do not live in the village, we are available by phone/email 24 hours and do not mind being contacted. We have a colleague that does live in the area and that arranges for any repairs, missing items, etc. in our absence, so do not hesitate to bring such things to our attention.
