Apartment is in a really great location, ideal for cool Marais area. Alexia was helpful and allowed us to stay later on checkout day as our train was later in the afternoon. Definitely recommend
Alexis made our stay in Paris very easy, he replied very quickly to emails and recommended us a restuarant in the area for dinner. His appartment is lovely and very well located.
Alexis apt is in a perfect location in the heart of Marais. The house is clean and the kitchen fully furnished. Internet connection didn't work in that days so Alexis , Very kindly, Made us a discount.
Alexis really helped me out as I was let down by a different host at very short notice.
The flat is nice, great location(!), and very clean and quiet. The views over the Paris rooftops was lovely.
Alexis provided excellent communication leading up to and during my stay. I would recommend him as a host.
Neighborhood is great, very chic and full of restaurants and bars
The apartment is small but very cozy and furnished with style!
Thank you very much Alex for hosting us
Alexis is a great host and it is very pleasant to do business with him. He answered all my questions before the trip very fast and the flat was in an impeccable state when I arrived. The profile picture is correct and the flat just great. The location couldn't be better with everything one needs for a nice weekend in Paris within walking distance. At the same time the street is surprisingly quiet and has a great roof view over Paris - couldn't be better!
The apartment was in the BEST location! It's closest metro station is St Paul which is on the main metro line and it's only about a 5 minute walk. There are shops and cafes within walking distance to the apartment which is great.
The apartment itself was quite small but was still decent. Be prepared to walk up and down 5 flights of stairs on a daily basis.. It was tiring but is totally worth the great view!
The toilet seat was broken when we got there which was a little awkward to work with but there were no major mishaps. Also the fridge was set to below freezing (which we didn't know) and ended up freezing food we had bought and left there over night so that was a bit annoying so if you stay there just double check that!
As for the host, Alexis, well to be honest we didn't see him and didn't hear from him all that much. I think he may have been travelling but when I messaged him on airbnb with a question about the stove he never responded and only did respond to my messaging when I was asking about checking out. He gave us very clear and accurate instructions regarding getting in to the building and up to the apartment and also was happy to let us stay for the whole day the day we were checking out as we weren't leaving until that night.
Another thing that we weren't too happy with was the fact that a maid showed up on the day we arrived to clean the apartment, which isn't the problem itself, the problem is that we weren't told she was coming and she didn't speak any English. Luckily my sister, who I was travelling with, did speak a little French so we figured out who she was. A little heads up would have been nice. All in all it was a 50/50 experience.
