Located in South Williamsburg, which still has authentic neighborhood vibes, the large (for New York) apartment is surrounded by bars, restaurants and stores. Close to major useful trains, it's a great launching pad to explore other parts of NYC
A beautiful, bright room in exciting South Williamsburg. It faces the back courtyard, so it's surprisingly quiet for being so near a transit and nightlife hub.
The room has AC (controlled by free downloadable app) in summer and unlimited heat in winter. There is ultrafast 300mbps internet, an air purifier and a very comfortable queen bed. Empty shelves are available for your storage needs.
The bathroom is shared, but clean and pleasant with a full array of soap and towels for your use. A full, clean kitchen and refrigerator is also available for your use. You can also relax in the spacious (by New York standards) living room.
Legendary nightlife, restaurant and shopping strips Bedford Ave and Grand St are each within four blocks from the front door. Whether it's noon or midnight, there are a huge range of food options.
Within a few blocks walking down S 4th from the front door, you can find an entire nights worth of entertainment, with popular restaurants like Pies n' Thighs and Traif, and great bars like The Woods, Post Office and Dram.
There's an awesome 24-hour organic grocery store, and a Post Office, each a block away. A fast, cheap, full service drop off laundry is two blocks away. They can generally have clothes ready for pickup in a neatly folded pile within 4-5 hours.

Interaction with Guests
I have two (website hidden) but they are rarely home and quiet and respectful when they are. One works about half the month in Wyoming and the other often stays with his girlfriend. I've had many guests surprised to learn I even have roommates!
I live in another room in the flat, but it's pretty distant so I can be as available or as invisible as you wish. I'm more than happy to show you around the neighborhood if I'm available.
South Williamsburg is my favorite part of New York City. It's gentrifying, with tons of bars and restaurants, but still has a real neighborhood vibe, with families and less of a 'tourist' feeling than north Williamsburg by the L. But it's still close to the heart of the neighborhood, which is arguably one of the cultural centers of the world right now.
The apartment is two blocks from the JMZ Marcy stop (the M is a fast way to get directly to the fun spots in SoHo and into Midtown Manhattan, while the J and Z train take you directly into Chinatown and Wall Street). The famous L Bedford stop is a 10 minute walk, and a train from there to Union Square is under 10 minutes.
One block from the apartment is a major bus depot where tons of buses start their journey to other areas of Brooklyn.
Right down the street is the entrance to the iconic Williamsburg Bridge (a nice walk in its own right), where all the taxis from the surrounding neighborhoods gather to head back to Manhattan. It's probably the best place to consistently find a cab in Brooklyn.
Common courtesy respect expected of any guest invited into someone's home.
No loud music please, especially after 10pm.
nathan is an amazing host - the room is close to the metro station and close to the hip bedford ave of williamsburg - even in the most freezing weather the room was warm and cozy - highly recommended!!
Nathan and was really friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was as described and we even got some mini toiletries as we hadn't packed any.
We felt safe and got a few tips on where to go for a beer. The neighbourhood was great and there were awesome bars and cafés close by.
Nathan was a great host! He was welcoming and always available to offer help or to ask if everything is alright. The room is quiet to the backyard. I stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed my time there. The neighbourhood is very nice with plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby and it is also quite close to manhattan with the metro.
we were hosted by nathan for a week, he is very kind and very helpful especially with us we do not speak much English ..... the house is located in a quiet area, there are a supermarket open 24h many fast food restaurants and the Metro very close, in the home is all you need, the room is quite spacious and bright hot only flaw the bathroom is a bit small but with all the comforts, the spacious shower .... was our first experience with airbnb and surely thanks to Nathan will not be the last
Nathan's apartment is conveniently located just across Manhattan, near the Williamsburg Bridge. Easy access to the subway (just a 5 minute walk away) and even easier access to amenities such as laundtomats and food. We went in winter but the apartment is always nice and comfortable, never a cold moment, even in the bathroom. We only faced one difficulty as we were lugging 2 huge luggages after some intense shopping, climbing up 3 flights of stairs. it can be a real test of determination, but look at it as a great work out and you'll do just fine. Nathan was really helpful as he made special arrangements to hand us the keys earlier as he was going out of town. We spoke a bit in the house but he gave us our privacy and he was never far away when we needed help.
Nathan made us feel very welcome and was really friendly, giving us recommendations to great food places. The place is conveniently located near a subway that brings us into Manhattan in less than 20 mins. The room was nicely furnished, sunny and we were given towels, toiletries and even umbrellas. Nathan also kindly extended our stay by one night when we completely forgot that we are supposed to checkout a day earlier. A lovely stay with a great host! :)
Room very nice and very quiet. Les photos donnent un aperçu parfait de la réalité. La chambre donne sur un immense courtyard ( peut être l 'été est moins paisible?). Apartment is clean. Nathan gave me my own soap , shower gel , two towels, and he proposed to me eat What i wanted in kitchen: very generous !!
It 's a shame, i had a lot of things to do outside so i didn't see Nathan often in 10 days . Though he looked very nice.
It 's to one block to subway station which is from one stop to Manhattan !
Stores and restaurants and bars very closes.
