My stay at Finca Bravi is one of my favorite things I experienced here in Argentina. We would pick veggies, fruit, and eggs each morning for breakfast and ride bikes during the day. The Finca is so relaxing and beautiful. Plus, Cecilia's asados are amazing, must try! Cecilia and Muriel are very nice and interesting to talk to. They know a lot about the area, wine, and the history. Do not miss out on this experience!
Transport - we took a bus from Mendoza bus station to Maipu center/plaza. From there it was a little tricky to find a cab. But, we realized later there is a remise stand two blocks away. Please note you cannot take the express bus from Mendoza with luggage, you have to take one of the slower red collectivos.
I had a great time at the finca with Cecilia and her daughter. Wonderful place to relax and explore the area. Cecilia gives good hints on which bodegas to visit, there are bikes to use for free and the garden and the pool are inviting to do just nothing but chill and hang around with the cute dogs :) But to me the best were the fresh vegetables and eggs and the incredible asado with the family!
Had a lovely stay with cecile and muriel. A very hospitable 3 nights right in between the grape vines and on the foot of the mountains.
Because the chef was away on holiday owner cecile took over, which ment lovely home cooked parilla, pasta and vegetables from her own garden. Cecile was so kind to take us on a winery tour as well as to enjoy Mendoza carnaval in the city. Which in this case ment tasting to many wines in one night, a real treat!
If one wants to enjoy Argentinian hospitality in the Mendoza landscape, finca Bravi is one of a kind!
This was the perfect end to our trip to Argentina. We (my fiance, golden retriever, and I) had been traveling for almost three weeks by car through the country, and this was our favorite experience. Our two hosts, Augustino and Cecilia, did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Augustino, a European trained chef, brought us fresh bread in the mornings, cold beer to enjoy poolside, and made us incredible homemade ravioli and a delicious asado (Argentine barbecue). The house is rustic, three bedroom bungalow, having everything you need and nothing you don't. We had a private room with a matrimonial bed, and happened to be the only guests during our stay. This is a "get away from it all" experience. We hardly left the property choosing instead to sit, read, watch the sunset, drink Malbec, and chat with our hosts. We should also mention there are excellent wineries nearby (Weiner has an excellent tour) and Chacras de Corea is 10 min. by car - a quaint town, definitely worth a stroll, with a variety of dining options. When we return to Mendoza we will definitely stay here again!
We had a lovely few days stay with Agustin and Cecilia at Finca Bravi. Agustin was a great host (and chef) and made sure we had everything we needed. The Finca is blissfuly simple, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast consisted of homemade bread, jam, honey and fresh coffee (delicious). By day we lazed around the pool reading, eating fresh salad hand picked ourselves from the vegetable garden. In the evening Agustin cooked an amazing Argentine bbq and we all sat around the outdoor table feasting, chatting, drinking fine local red wine and playing guitar.
This was a perfect end to our trip to Argentina. Great fun
This is quite simply beautiful and you couldn't wish for a more accommodating family. After a few days here you'll never want to leave. The pool was a refreshing break from the heat, which for a load of Brits was very welcome! Make sure you take the owners up on one of their delicious asados, amazing steak, wine and salads!
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life then this is a perfect place to do it. It felt like a new home and one we very much hope to return to.
We had a great stay at Finca Bravi. Cecilia's property is really unique and provided for a very relaxing week away from the city of Mendoza. There's plenty to keep you busy, whether it's touring nearby vineyards, cooking fresh foods (even hand-picked from the fields), heading to Chacras de Coria or Maipu on bike, or simply reading by the pool. Augustin, also a host along with Cecilia and her daughter, was incredibly helpful during our stay and cooked some fantastic meals, including an outdoor asado (barbecue) where we all pitched in to have a great, traditional Argentinian meal, with a nice Malbec (or 2 or 3), of course. Altogether, a one-of-a-kind experience that we were so glad we did. The guesthouse was great for our needs, but we spent most of our time outdoors during the hot days and cool nights. Highly recommended all-around.
Great, great place to stay. Very interesting area and the hosting is fantastic. If you enjoy a more rural place and pace, head to Finca Bravi.
Finca Bravi is in a remote, quiet location.. near Mendoza wine area. the vineyard is nice and the veggie garden for free veggies and eggs are great!
There is 3 things however that need to be clear when you book.. as opposed to what is said in the airbnb add, this is not a private accomocation... You have a room in the house, and share a kitchen, living room, terrace and bathroom (no private toilet :-S) with 2 other rooms.. When we were there we were sharing with 5 others. We had fun as they were all very nice people.. if you expect something private, this is not for you! Another misunderstanding is that Oscar, who communicates with you for the booking and speaks wonderful English is not at the premises.. Cecilia the owner is a kind and warm person (who knows how to party!) but communicating is hard when you don't speak Spanish...
The 3rd thing is that there are only 2 bikes on site, free of use... meaning you have to share them with the other guests.. so if they take them first, you have no transportation to get to the vineyards and have to rent a car in town or take a taxi..
so 3 minor cons you needs to be aware of...
Pros of this stay were definitely Cecilia and her daughter, who are very kind and cooked up a great BBQ and party for us and the other guests (at 100pes pp)... the surroundings are wonderful and peaceful... great to be on a vineyard!
We had a great time meeting locals and other travelers in a rustic laid back atmosphere and will definitely come back when in Mendoza!
