Private updated modern patio-home in a mid-century modern building surrounded by a lush garden. It's fully stocked. Walk to many local restaurants or enjoy some quiet time. Everything is close: hiking, airport, convention center, downtown.
Beautiful contemporary modern space in Uptown Phoenix.
Renovated with contemporary finishes to match the modern architectural style of the building. That means clean lines, simple decorations and great utility. The focus is on less clutter and more quality. Expect comfort, clarity, peace, cleanliness and utility.
It's a space created to be concrete, utilitarian, clean and relaxing. When composing it, we wanted to create a feeling of comfort for the body and the mind: a relaxing space.
The living area is open from the kitchen to the living room, with a kitchen island as a break between the two. The island serves as a dining table.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, pans, utensils and anything you need to create a great meal or you can just put something in the toaster oven and make it easy. Note: there is no microwave - food really tastes better from the toaster and only take a bit longer than nuking it in the microwave.
The living area has lots of seating if you want to invite guests or simply find you own comfortable way to read one of the magazines or books or to watch TV: connect to Netflix and other apps through Apple TV - or on your laptop via the fast WiFi.
The bedroom with a queen bed is bright with a sliding door to the patio with a seating area. We provide high quality bedding so you sleep in comfort. It's lovely to sleep here with the sliding door open at night. There are extra pillows and throws in the closet if you need them.
The bathroom is a favorite of mine. For a small space it sure feels open. Double sinks, a large shower all make it very usable. Soap, shampoo, hair blower are all here as are high quality heavy weight luxury towels.
Included also: onside laundry.
Covered parking in the back.
Need space for bikes? Just ask, we has a storage shed where you can keep them.
You have access to a front fenced yard with a table and chairs shaded by two citrus trees and the more private backyard with lots of grass, shade, tables, chairs, flowers and a grill.
The back yard is shared, please feel comfortable using it: relax on the lounge chairs, get a tan or sit on the grass with a book and smell the roses. There are now 11 rose bushes. Many flower year long.
Interaction with Guests
The place is all yours. It's as private as you want or we're here next door if you have questions about getting around or which restaurants to go to. Access is via a lockbox, but we can meet you as well: your choice.
This area is Uptown Phoenix: know for being green, for the scent of orange blossoms in the spring, irrigated lots, mature trees, ranch and modern home.
It's old Phoenix. Many of the homes are older with character and built to last. This area used to be all orange groves and it shows. Some of the citrus trees are original.
It's the middle of the city yet you can hear chickens, you may see a horse and some people have lamas: it's got character for sure.
What I love about it besides what I wrote is that it's near so many restaurants - most of the highly rated and locally owned, the Phoenix Mountains with hiking trails, several parks, one with 2 lakes, the freeway is near by and just a bit farther are downtown Phoenix, midtown Phoenix and the Biltmore area. The airport is 15 minutes away and the convention center 18 minutes. Everything is so close.
There are a few great restaurants near-by, within walking distance:
Rokerij or Richardson's which offers New Mexican food and hve been here forever.
Vigs Uptown, Dick's Hideaway is like it sounds, a hideaway with no sign announcing it, except that sign that states, "unaccompanied children will be given coffee and a free kitten."
It's right next to Luci's: a local market where many of the neighbors like to hang out. A bit further, but still close there are other great places to eat and a few micro breweries. If you want recommendations let me know.
Like most of Phoenix, without a car it's difficult to get around. Don't count on public transportation. A bike, though, works great.
We're near the I-51 freeway so access to places like the Convention Center is quick: 15 minutes - similar for the airport.

We went to Scottsdale for Spring Training and Artur's condo was perfect! It is beautifully remodeled, private, quiet and has a great kitchen. We had a quick trip, but would definitely stay here again
The neighborhood is quiet and close to food, coffee and Dunkin Donuts. Do not hesitate to book Arthur for a great stay in the Phoenix area.
Arthur's condo is just what the pictures show, clean and modern. The neighborhood is quiet but close to everything. The shared garden is quaint, I even saw hummingbirds.
I would definitely book with Artur again should the need arise.
What a "great" place and exactly as advertised! Modern best describes the unit...Artur and Joanna did a great job renovating the interior and we spent two weeks enjoying our vacation. Some highlights I'd like to pass are:
*Very welcoming hosts with good information about Phoenix and the surrounding area.
*Very clean and a super comfortable bed.
*Great/Safe neighborhood and perfect for walking our dog.
*Fruit Trees on the property that gave us plenty of grapefruit, oranges and lemons.
*Centrally located to all attractions in the area, including the Spring Training Stadiums.
I love all the natural light here. This place has the perfect mix of hotel luxury and the comforts of home. I visit Phoenix often, and I will definitely stay here again.
Great place. I was only there for 2 nights during a conference in Scottsdale.
Artur's condo is wonderful! The space is large and comfortable and the decor relaxing. The kitchen has everything we needed to prepare all our meals - stocked up at Trader Joes and had gourmet meals. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient for shopping and it was a short drive to each of the hikes we took. Artur is always available and very gracious. We hope his condo will be available the next time we are in Phoenix.
My stay at Artur's was just what I wanted. The place was quaint and well designed with amazing light and a beautiful backyard. My boyfriend and I had been camping and this was the perfect place to come home to and relax. Artur was very prompt in his response and attentive during the booking process which made it easy and stress free. I wish I had more time to stay in Arizona so I will definitely be back and will absolutely look at staying at Artur's airbnb spot again!

Hi, When in Phoenix, I work from home - mostly in performance marketing and on my real estate properties. I enjoy mowing lawns and gardening while sipping beer or wine. And, riding my bike around the city or on the mountains trails near-by.
When I travel I do it as a 'rational flaneur': I don't make plans, rather move along and change as I get new information. That's always worked out great for me. Often I take a bike or rent a bike where ever I go. Some of the best memories I have are on heavy and uncomfortable rental bikes - yeah, I'm even smiling now thinking about it. While I feel the pull toward Europe mostly, I would like to go to South America.
I have two condos on Airbnb. It's my goal to to provide the kind of place I would like to stay in. I like comfort, style, utility and above all cleanliness and I don't skimp on providing those in my condos.
My motto, if I have to choose one is, Tempus Edax Rerum - time devours everything.
