Beautiful contemporary modern space in North Central Phoenix. Located near a major freeway, uptown, midtown and downtown Phoenix, the airport and several restaurants many within walking distance.
This is a condo triplex with a unit on either side and a shared back yard, plus a small private front yard.
This is an older part of Phoenix so it's certainly more green then other parts of the city. In fact you may stumble upon an irrigated yard filled with several inches of water: a remnant from when this area was all orange groves.
Renovated with contemporary finishes to match the modern architectural style of the building. That means clean lines, simple decorations and great utility. I focus on less clutter and more quality.
I just remodeled the bedroom so it's a bit different from the photos: it now has a sliding door to the front yard which allows more natural light to filter in.
The back yard is fairly lush and green with a table and seats for when the weather is cooler.
There is a full gas kitchen and some basic kitchen tools, pots and pans, cups and glasses, utensils, dinnerware; condiments and toaster oven. No microwave.
There are a few great restaurants near-by, even within walking distance. Rokerij offer New Mexican food and has been here forever. Vigs Uptown, Dick's Hideaway is like it sounds, a hideaway with no sign announcing it, except that sign that states, "unaccompanied children will be given coffee and a free kitten." It's right next to Luci's: Luci's is a local market where many of the neighbors like to hang out. A bit further, but still close there are other great places to eat and a few micro breweries. If you want recommendations let me know.
An unusual feature is the Phoenix Mountain Preserve where there are miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, and it's just a mile and a half away. This is the highest peak in the city with great views and a park where you can get lost. Hit the canal on a bike and you can ride all the way to Scottsdale or the other way. Bike rentals are available from Trailhead Bike Cafe near-by.
Check in is 2 pm and check out is 11 am out, but they are flexible depending on bookings. Please inquire.
Max stay of 30 days is flexible. It can certainly be longer. Please inquire.
You get use of the entire apartment with one good sized living room, one bathroom with a shower and a bedroom with a queen sized bed with high quality cotton linens.
I provide basic kitchen equipment, basic bath supplies like hair dryer, towels, soap and shampoo etc.
There is a strong fast wi-fi always on.
New Samsung Smart HDTV installed with lots of channels and access to lots of stuff via apps. Connect to your HULU, Netflix, Amazon Prime accounts, FOX and CNBS, Euronews in addition to others.
A laundry room is on the premises for use by all persons.
Parking: There is a covered space or two in the back that you may use or the street.
If the oranges, tangerines or grapefruit are ripe, you may have some - these are ready December to February on through April depending on the tree. If you wander around the yard you'll see other herbs around, like basil: you may share these as well.
P.S. Some changes from the photos.
1. There is a new refrigerator in the kitchen: it's much larger and quiet.
2. The bedroom window has been removed and replaced by a full sliding door. This allow much more natural light into the bedroom. Also, there is now a fenced area accessible from the bedroom sliding door. While the backyard is more lush, the front area is more private if you want to sit in the grass under the shade of a beautiful young tree and maybe talk to passers by.
Guests have access to a front fenced yard with a table and chairs and the more private backyard with lots of grass, shade, tables, chairs, flowers and a grill. The back yard is shared, but please feel comfortable using it.
The place is all yours. Access is via a lockbox, but we can meet you as well.
The neighborhood does not have a specific name though the greater area is North Central Phoenix. It's older, lush green with lots of character: a mix of some homes from the 30's (rare) and 50's homes with great examples of modernism and ranch homes. What I love about it besides what I wrote is that it's near-by so many restaurants, the Phoenix Mountains, several parks, one with a lake, the freeway is near by and just a bit farther are downtown Phoenix, midtown Phoenix and the Biltmore area.
Like most of Phoenix, without a car it's difficult to get around. Don't count on public transportation. A bike, though, works great.
What a great place. Check in was incredibly easy, we just picked up the key from the lockbox by the front door.
The place is impeccably clean and Artur's photo's and description are accurate. I would actually say that the bedroom is even better now that he has put in the sliding door to the outside. Much more light. It's such a treat to walk out into the small front yard and sit under the orange trees and smell the sweet air first thing in the morning. The neighbor on one side has a very friendly dog and there is a really sweet cat that hangs out in the back yard sometimes.
The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of restaurants and a Whole Foods and Trader Joes nearby. Just a few blocks away there is a path that runs for miles along a canal, which is perfect if you are a runner or ride bikes.
Artur is a great host and was flexible about the check-in and check-out times. He responded to texts right away.
Really, everything was good.
We stayed for three days and I would totally stay there again next time I'm in Phoenix.
Artur's space was great. It was just a few minutes north of the city and had a great wine bar only a few miles away. The space was clean, bright, and had an amazing little courtyard where we we able to enjoy stone morning coffee which was provided for us, how great! Would highly recommend this space!
Artur's condo was the perfect place to stay for our Phoenix visit. It was well-decorated, clean, comfortable, and spacious. It's in an excellent location. A visitor almost always needs a car in Phoenix, but the condo is within walking distance to several good restaurants and shops. I was also happy with the well-stocked kitchen, plenty of closet space to unpack our clothes, and interesting books and magazines on the shelves. We enjoyed the yard and patio seating outside, and had a very relaxing visit. We would stay here again and would recommend it to our friends as well.
Wow! This has to be the nicest place I've found on here! When I can I move in for good!? It was so nicely decorated, in a great location, and the price was too good to be true! I honestly wondered if this place really existed for that price! The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful with tons of restaurants near by! We will make this our regular spot when we visit the Phoenix area!
Me and my bf wanted to have a memorable stay in the greater part of phoenix. Conveniently located in the heart of phoenix. A very modern and cozy setup with a beautiful hidden getaway with a breathtaking view of their backyard. It was an oasis of beautiful diverse exotic birds attracted to the nature the backyard's setup. With the weather being so perfect we enjoyed staying in then going out. Thank you Artur we will be back!!
Due to our travel plans, our stay at Artur's was short, too short, we could have stayed a lot longer and been very comfortable. The place is spacious, beautiful, and a great example of mid-century modernism. Clean, well-appointed stylish and priced well. I can't imagine that you'll find better value anywhere.
Great little condo, just right for 2 people, in central Phoenix. Loved the warm, sunny yard with the orange trees, etc. Great hosts. Will be back if in Phoenix again.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying here. We're pretty adventurous and so only want somewhere clean, safe, and comfortable and we definitely found that in the house. There's a few bars and a really cute organic eatery/grocery store less than a mile away, and the light rail isn't too far of a hike to get downtown. We'll stay there again.
Thank you Artur & Joanna for your wonderful hospitality! We would highly recommend your place and would definitely stay with you again. This is our first time in Phoenix and you made it very enjoyable. Your condo is very nicely decorated, very clean and well stocked. You set the bar exceptionally high for other property owners! We loved the fresh oranges and the beautiful orange trees in the yard. You are the best!
The condo was extremely clean and tidy with a lot of natural light during the day. It is even nicer than pictured with a tv in the living room now and some more furniture in the bedroom. The backyard is lovely. We arrived late, so accessing the apartment via lockbox was perfect.
