Our home is 15 minutes walk to the station, then 24 minutes fast train to Waterloo. We live in a 1930s house. We have a lovely double room available with Sky television. Sole use of Bathroom, shared Kitchen with own fridge.

The Space

A freshly decorated double room with brand new carpet. Appointed with the mod cons: TV/DVD/SKY, Coffee and Tea making facilities. Iron and Ironing board available.

We live in a highly desirable English country village, Horsell. Amenities, such as mini super market, Bakery, Butcher, fantastic restaurants and takeaway; these are all just five minutes away. There are four classic English pubs within a half mile radius. The Cricketers is our favourite for traditional English look and dining.

Our home is 15 minutes walk to Woking station, which is then a 24 minutes fast train to London Waterloo with Trains every five minutes during peak times. Average taxi fare is £8 to the station.

We are only 8 miles away from the theme park Thorpe Park; legoland and Chessington are close too. Windsor Castle, Virginia Water Lakes,Poles den Lacey, Guildford town are also highlights. For kids there are Bocketts Farm and Bird World/Alice Holt, which are all driveable days out.

Our family home is an open planned 3 bedroom semi detached house directly opposite Horsell Common, which is perfect for walking.

There is parking for your car with plenty of non-regulated off street parking. We have a professional cleaner in every Thursday, if you wanted the room cleaned and bed changed.

Sky broadband Wifi is available and a personal TV with Sky HD and recording box is available in the room. The lounge is also available for use with the same facilities.

We are a professional husband and stay at home mum with a three year old son. We have a newly fitted family bathroom which will be yours and downstairs shower room, which we use. During your stay, you will have the use of the kitchen in a shared way with your own fridge, sole use of the bathroom save for toddler bath time for a 20 min period between 7pm and 8pm and Henry needs to use the toilet in the mornings. Double room with very comfy double bed. New wardrobe and hangers as well as drawers. Travel cot is available for young families.

The room is newly decorated and We have also done the lounge, hallway and aspects of the kitchen.

Any queries or questions don't hesitate in asking. I'll answer as fast as possible.

Guest Access

Guests have access all rooms and garden excepting the private bedrooms.

Interaction with Guests

Different people like different things from their visit. I am happy to be friendly and inviting and give advice if you're not local. But equally happy to let business persons etc get on with what they need to do and leave well alone. We are friendly and chat if you want it.

The Neighborhood

We live in a lovely neighbourhood of very caring people. It is close to local transport networks but also quiet. We have great walks around and about. People come from all over to use our fast food shops and pubs.

Getting around

A bus runs from the village into town. But walking is probably easiest. Very easy parking for a car - No yellow lines.

Other Things to Note

Our price reflects that we offer facilities to cook your own breakfast, but don't offer food itself. Tea and Coffee are no problem.

  • I stayed for just over 4 weeks after returning from Canada. Hannah, Jason and their delightful son Henry were fantastic. So friendly, accommodating, warm and would go out of their way to do anything to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

I was lucky to have nice weather and I was out in the garden most days, they have a very nice garden and I had my own spot, which was beautiful. Again as good as the picture.

I can't recommend them high enough.

Their lovely house is ideally positioned for Woking and the train station is a nice 15 minute walk away, which I walked most days as I work locally. The house is a very welcoming place, the room was great, nice comfortable bed, good wardrobe space and it's as nice as it looks in the picture. Bathroom was right next to the bedroom and was great. The kitchen was very nice, I had my own fridge and access to whatever I needed to cook and eat. The microwave was excellent too...

Woking station is perfect for going to London, there are regular trains every day. So if you want a place to stay for trips to London, this is ideal.

I was staying there as I was finding somewhere to live in the area. And it was perfect for me.

Thank you so much Hannah, Jason and Henry for making my return to the UK so easy, you were the perfect hosts and I will always remember you and I will stay in touch. You are all very special people.

I was so lucky to find Hannah.

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Hannah, Jason and Henry. They were brilliant and made me feel totally welcome in their home. The room was very comfortable, they generously allowed me sole use of the upstairs bathroom, and I had my own fridge to use in the kitchen! No hesitation in recommending.

  • Hannah, Jason and their little son Henry are really good hosts. We spent with them two really nice weeks. Hannah made for us a dinner and it was delicious :) Jason gave us some advices because we're moving to this area and it really helped to ask somebody about the rules in the U.K. etc. So, guys thank you very much and maybe see you in the town.

  • I needed a place for a friend to stay at extremely short notice, and Hannah very kindly offered her room, once my profile was updated. As a host, she was excellent, even agreeing to meet my friend quite late in the evening. My friend reported that she had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and that the hosts were extremely kind and helpful throughout. Would definitely recommend!

  • Top marks for Hannah and Jason for hospitality and making me feel at home. Very comfy room and effectively your own bathroom right next door. Station and local pub both within walking distance. Oh and incredibly quiet area. A great experience, thoroughly recommended.

Thank You!

About
I am currently a stay at home mum, but have been Head of Art at a local school until recently and with this obviously comes a passion for the creative. My home is punctuated by paintings. I am currently creating new work for exhibitions. My husband is a solicitor. I am fun, outgoing and enthusiastic person. I play hockey for Woking Hockey Club from September to April. I have been on a gap year with my husband, so have an appreciation for other cultures and exotic destinations. My current favourite TV series is 'Game of Thrones'. As a host, I am happy to help out with anything you should need. I'd consider myself a laid back individual, with an open personality. My husband and I have got a lovely little boy. He is the light of our lives and is used to company. He will leave you alone if we tell him too.
