About this listing
Sunny all day long! A great place to either chill or celebrate!
Located in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, our apartment is 55 sq meters (550 sq feet). We have Wifi Internet, Balcony, Gas Stove, Washing Machine, Dryer, Bathtub, Futon Couch/Bed, and Landline Telephone.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor with south-facing windows. The space is newly renovated with a mezzannine loft for lounging & sleeping. It has plenty of available shelf-space in main room, storage area & kitchen. It also has a desk for working or drawing.
Located at the corner of Danziger Strasse and Prenzlauer Allee, there are 2 tram stops right outside our door at the corner. Surrounded by bars & restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, late-night shops, clothing boutiques, record stores, d-i-y shops, etc. Neighbors are quiet. Neighborhood is very safe, english-friendly. It is 3 blocks from a local farmer's market on Thursdays & Saturdays. We are on a fast-moving corner with lots of people flowing through so it doesn't feel stuck in any certain 'type.' This brings a slightly more diverse & lively flavor to our corner, which is tucked inside of the larger 'bohemian bourgeois' which is peppered with families, young professionals, & artsy 30s & 40s-somethings. We are between 2 parks: Mauer Park, with its infamous Sunday Fleamarket & "Bearpit Karaoke"--and Volkspark Freidrichshain, a lovely park for jogging or walking that was built on a pile of ruins.
Let us know if you have any more questions!
Prenzlauer Berg was the first neighborhood in former East Berlin in which the wall came down, so there is a memorial park & a Museum to the Berlin Wall nearby. It is also the closest residential neighborhood to Mitte, the center of the city where you find many Monuments, Museums, and Tourist sites.
If you arrive at Schönefeld airport take the train at the Schönefeld Airport train station to Alexanderplatz then change for the Tram M2 around 6 stops until the intersection Danziger Strasse - Prenzlauer Allee.
From International Tegel airport you have the choice between a cab will cost around 15 euros course or the bus TXL wich goes to the local train station (SBahn) Beusselstrasse then take the Ring train clockwise way until Prenzlauer Allee. From there you might have to walk 10mn until my place or take the Tram M2 stop at the intersection Danziger Strasse - Prenzlauer Allee.
Regarding public transportations the apartment is not far from an intersection of two tram lines (M10 and M2). The M10 line stops right front of the building and it serves the district of Mitte ( shopping and museums) in one direction and in the other direction it goes down to FRIEDRISCHAIN, KREUZBERG which are neighborhoods more lively with the numerous clubs hair : Berghain , Watergate etc. .... the list is too long. M2 line goes straight on Alexanderplatz.
Other Things to Note
Parcs, restaurants, bars, cafés, boulangeries, supermarchés, marché bio, épiceries etc... tous sont vraiment á proximité et english friendly!
Our neighbors are extremely cool and friendly, and we would like to keep it that way! So the biggest thing we expect from you is that you respect them by being polite & friendly when you see them, and quiet during the nights & early mornings. We also would appreciate that you maintain a 'look but don't touch' policy regarding the artworks we have hanging. There is absolutely NO DOWNLOADING of anything while using our internet IP address, it is strictly enforced in Germany and if you download you could receive a fine of up to 1,000 Euro per download. Lastly, feel free to smoke on the balcony, but we maintain a strict NO SMOKING policy inside. And if you smoke, please keep the apartment well-aired with the windows open after smoking. Thanks and enjoy!
Roland was a wonderful host. He made sure we knew our way to the apartment (with route plans approximately at our arrival time), too bad we didn't get to meet him personally. We picked up our keys from Nina, a neighbour downstairs who was equally friendly and nice.
Location of the flat was perfect, tram stop 100m away, and two tram stops away from s-bahn prenzlauer allee. Also only 9 min from Alexanderplatz by tram. They are numerous restaurants and cafes around (even gluten free & vegan possibilities are catered for).
Apartment was as shown in photos. The only down side of the place is the noise from the trams directly passing by downstairs. If you're a sound sensitive sleeper, you might need to reconsider. In addition, bed is a little too hard for our taste.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Rolands apartment! His really lovely friend came to drop off the key (as Roland was out of town) and gave us some directions to close by supermarkets. Roland told us beforehand how to get to the apartment and a list of things to do / where to eat / etc. was given on arrival. Everything was nice and clean and we immediately felt comfortable and at home.
I can only recommend this amazing apartment!
Great location and friendly host :) if we should come back to Berlin we will certainly come back!
This apartment was the perfect amount of space for my friend and I. We arrived very late, and Roland made it very easy for us to still get the keys. It was very clean and easy to get to the city center.
Très bon séjour chez Roland !
Hôte aux petits soins, appartement au top et à proximité de tout grâce aux nombreux moyens de transports aux alentours. Je le recommande fortement !

The apartment was great: good location, close to public transport. the neighbourhood was friendly and the aprtment was very clean and hospitable.
