A true 1-bedroom, this newly remodeled walkup apartment has plenty of space, including a light and bright living room (there's even a skylight) with Apple TV, modern kitchen (with stove/sink/fridge etc), new bathroom, and comfy full bed. During the summer, there are two air conditioners, to make sure you have a comfortable, cool stay.
Don't waste $$ on a hotel! Take that extra money and spend it on the neighborhood's fantastic restaurants and shops. On my block, there are plenty of acclaimed eateries and adorable coffee shops. Definitely a true New York city neighborhood.
2 blocks away from 2 separate subway stops. Close to the F, M, N, R, 6 and J. Easy, quick access to both midtown NYC and Brooklyn.

Rita was a great communicator and has a gem in the lower east side. We found her apt. convenient for our needs and taste and she has all that we needed for a more than comfortable stay. Her spacious and bright apt. was perfect!
This apartment, with plenty of light, lots of nice features befitting older buildings in lower Manhattan and good amenities, is ideal for two people who are sufficiently fit and don't mind the four-story walk from the ground floor (which we actually liked!). Rina was diligent at pre-arrival communication - we had no trouble picking up the key and getting into the apartment - and she was available once we arrived had the need arisen (which it didn't). And best of all, you can't beat the location; close to the subway, minutes away from streets of burgeoning new restaurants as well as long-established classics, a short walk to the many contiguous interesting neighborhoods and close to Brooklyn. The place really good value and the base for a great stay!
This was my first airbnb vacation rental. I had a few questions and Rina responded right away. She is a great host. One of our flights changed and our meeting time kept getting later due to being on the airport shuttle. She was so nice about the changes. She met us at the apartment gave us the keys and went over a few things. She said if we have any issues to text her. We had wine, eggs, half & half and coffee in the fridge for our use.
Enjoyed our stay at Rina's place. The location was perfect for us and the local area has many great places to eat and drink. Everything about the apartment was as described and Rina was a very accommodating host. Would certainly stay here if it was available for future visit's to the area.
Nice sun-filled 1 BDR apt on quiet street in Lower East Side. Looked just like photos. Very tidy, nice to have well appointed sitting/living room area separate from bedroom. With windows closed in November street noise not an issue for sleeping. Hot water radiator heating, supplementary electric radiant heaters very helpful. Small kitchen, no microwave, dining table for two in living room. Bathroom had both great hot water & pressure. Walking distance to restaurants for all budgets, Essex Market, Union Market, several famous LES delis & bakeries, Tenement Museum, shopping in SoHo. Tasty croissant & coffee at World Atlas Café 30 paces from front door. Useful subway line station only 4 blocks away. Great price for the space & location on offer. Note: Rina stated plainly in listing there is no TV, but did offer use of Bluetooth portable speaker to link with iPod & like. Thanks Rina - would return!
Rina was very informative and responded quickly to our questions. She made all needed arrangements for us to be able to get into the apartment and she even waited for us to get there from the airport to give us a tour, and tell us the small details. Overall a great experience. Plus the apartment is close to a lot of fun bars/lounges/ restaurants and the subway station. Would book with Rina again. Thank you for a very pleasant stay! :)
Stock schleppen muss,
