The Hall, with it's original Victorian features. A warm heartily welcome from the bustling meddling London crowd,
Francien is a wonderful woman. Kind, caring, interested in the world and the people who come into her kitchen. She makes you feel at home instantly. I could have stayed for longer, as the two nights i was there just didn't feel long enough. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the house cosy, peaceful and clean. Breakfast was included and laughter accompanied the tasty home made muesli. I couldn't rate this home and Francien highly enough. I will most certainly be staying again next time i am in Brixton. Thank you Francien.
Francien was a very welcoming host and the room was comfy , clean and cosy.
We had a good few days there but spent most of the time out visiting friends but were very happy in Holmewood Gardens
I was too busy to really take advantage of the nice atmosphere in the house and have a longer chat with Francien but I still had a good time. This is one of the nicest London houses I have seen over the years and Francien does everything to make her guests feel welcome. The room itself as well as the new bathroom were impeccably clean. Access to central London is easy with several busses leaving from the Holmewood Road bus stop nearby. Very much recommended!
Francien was a very nice host and we very much enjoyed the stay. It was a nice touch to include a breakfast in the morning to get to know each other better. The location has very easy access to Brixton by buses.
Francien was a good hostess. The room is comfortable and everything was very clean. It is a good choice in relation to price. She mentioned that is not ready for a baby and I should of charged me extra for him, but as I said before book would not do, although this relationship remained a little tense at first (after a while traveling and several hotels is the first time someone want to charge for a baby of 8 months). The house is not suitable for a baby buggy because the stairs , but she kindly allowed to keep in the kitchen overnight. For our movement with a baby Brixton is too far from the center for tourist visits, and the neighborhood after dark not inspire us safely. Anyway cute spent days, although I think that renting an entire department as we are currently doing in Paris is the best option for a family.
It's ashamed Ignacio didn't read the info of the description of my place and any additional costs, as he admitted, assumption from Ignacio part would not have happened. I am sure it was helpful for the family having a cot and its complete bedding and a high chair for Dylan as requested.
Having a 9 month old baby Ignacio and family were back in the house late afternoons and in July sunset in London is after 9 pm.
The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet with Brockwell Park a short stroll away. Francien will make sure you'll make your way around London and that you have a nice breakfast with the other guests. Also the room is nice and comfy and clean just as the place is itself!

About the Host, Francien
Hi I am Francien!
I love the great city I have called home for the last 38 years and enjoy discovering new places in it every day. I am originally from Indonesia and the travel bug still strong in me as I love exploring new places and cultures. I have been to Indonesia, Germany, Jordan, Turkey, Spain, Italy, India, France, Sri Lanka and Portugal all in the last 5 years! And with airbnb I can keep learning of people and places even if it is from the comfort of my living room or kitchen. As they say " kitchen is the heart of a home".
I am happy to share my home and have lots of handy tips for you to make the most of your time and budget.
I invite you to come and stay with me in my comfortable London Victorian Terraced home that is directly opposite a big park and well connected to all parts of the city. Please feel free to ask me any questions, practical or fun, to get the most out of your visit before and during your stay.
