The Space

Enjoy one of the most coveted, tree lined neighborhoods of the city, Historical Land Park... Did you know Sacramento has more trees per capita than any other city except Paris?

This house boasts gorgeous hardwood floors throughout. A galley style kitchen with new appliances & marble counter tops as well as stack-able washer and dryer. There are two well lit bedrooms and one full bath. There's a full size micro-suede couch with matching recliner and love sack to enjoy. A wood burning fireplace and a indoor 10' vintage Brunswick shuffleboard table. A porch hanging hammock perfect for reading, relaxing, basking in the afternoon sun, or (email hidden) or glass of wine outside.

The Super Hero room/office is furnished with a comfortable memory foam full size bed.

If you enjoy a good workout there are many work out videos available as well as yoga mats, free weights, pull-up bar and a Ugi ball. Maybe go for a run on the near by trails or just around beautiful Land Park!

You will be sharing the common living space, kitchen and bathroom with myself and my girlfriend Denise.

Sacramento's Land Park is famous for its tree lined streets that allow the warm sun to peek through. There are several parks near by to relax and read a book or play a round of golf. Land Park golf course is the oldest golf course in the city. If you should choose to bike, walk or long board and go explore, you're only about a 15 minute walk to the American River and downtown Sacramento, "the city of trees". Because of the high number of parks in and around the city there are a lot of activities and events to attend most of which are free admission. The city's largest farmers market is only a few blocks away which carries all local produce, meats and more.

Several restaurants are only a 10 -15 minute walk, 5-10 on bike or a short cab ride away. Public transportation is also just around the corner. You're close to all major freeways, convenient should you decide to travel throughout gorgeous Northern California. It's also just a short 10 - 15 minute drive to the Sacramento International Airport. Amtrak is a also a great source of public transportation between cities, the station is only 7 minutes away.

    Response from Jeremy:

Hey Perran thanks again staying in our home, you're welcome back any time!

  • Place was clean, easy and had everything I needed. Jeremy is a friendly, helpful host. If I'd had more free time I'd have gladly gotten to know him.

One note on finding the housekey - it was in a lockbox hanging from the outdoor faucet/spigot on the side of the house (along the driveway). Instructions described it as a "bib". I had no idea what a bib was. Now I do :)

  • Jeremy and Denise left the entire home to my use--both the room and the place are well furnished, clean, and comfortable. Both of them are very hospitable and are eager to advise on where to eat, shop, etc. When at home, you can relax in your room on the super comfy bed or join Jeremy and Denise in the living room on one of their comfy couches or oversized bean bag seats--they have an great videogame collection for PS3, as well as an incredible movie selection you could play from the PS3.

They made plenty of room for my items in the fridge and in the kitchen, and I had use of the washer and dryer whenever I needed. Parking was never an issue, as I usually parked in the driveway or on the curb.

All in all, I would recommend Jeremy's place to anyone staying in the Sacramento area!

  • Great host! Incredibly generous, friendly, laid-back, and social. He had a bike available for rent and was always willing to help with anything that came up. Couldn't ask for a better person to share a house with, even if I was always working for the entire month.

    Highly recommended!

  • Jeremy was extremely helpful and super relaxed which made me quite happy. First off, I was not the one who stayed at the house, it was my father and his wife, which may make things a bit more complicated, it would seem. But Jeremy was super cool about it and wait, did I mention my father does not speak English? Well Jeremy handled it like a pro, and I really appreciate that. Anyway, my dad was quite pleased with the arrangements and I Jeremy was super flexible about check-in/out and all that. Great hosts!

  • I had a really love stay with Jeremy and Denise. They are warm, welcoming people with a real mi casa es su casa vibe. They were happy to offer tips and advice on where to go, and actually invited me for a night out on the town, which was a great way to see the Sacremento night life. The room is a perfect size for one or two, with a really comfy bed and desk space for laptop et al. The bathroom was spotless, really beautiful and always available, despite sharing it with them. The kitchen and rest of the living space was also spotless, and I was welcome to use both at my leisure. I really loved my stay with them and would stay with them again if I ever return to the city. They leave you to your own devices so you have plenty of space, but respond to questions and queries wherever they are. Awesome hosts!
