Cool modern loft off Folsom street in South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood. We're minutes walk from Muni and BART -- close to all the action but far enough away for a good night's sleep after a long, hard day of sightseeing, conferences or work.
We're a gay couple, relocated from the midwest to San Francisco, and living in this terrific place since June 2012.
We think you'll love our place: It's a great, modern loft, filled with art we've collected on our travels around the world. It's stylish, comfortable, clean and easy to make yourself at home.
And we have to mention: great views of Bay Bridge from the guest bed when you're drifting off to sleep or while you enjoy your coffee at the dining table in the morning. We LOVE this place, and we know you will too!
The entire downstairs is available for your use: your bedroom, your own bathroom, and shared living room, kitchen and dining area.
You are welcome to use the kitchen and to keep food in the refrigerator and freezer if needed. We have a drip coffee maker for your use, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, microwave, gas range and oven.
We provide high-speed wireless internet access at no additional charge.
Also, if you are visiting from outside the U.S., ask us about your mobile phone requirements. We have a smartphone we can lend you, and we can also help arrange a U.S.-compatible SIM card prior to your arrival, so you can provide the phone number to friends, family and colleagues who may need to reach you.
We go with the flow. Sometimes schedules are busy, guests are in town for a conference or other business and we may pass like ships in the nights -- our comings and goings may not overlap and we may barely see one another.
Other times, we'll all hang out in the evening or weekend. When things work out, we've all gone out for dinner, a night on the town, or a walk to the Farmers' market on the weekend.
Whatever works for everyone seems to be the best guide.
Everything is easily accessible: restaurants, museums, waterfront, shopping -- plus so much more this amazing city has to offer. We're just a short walk to Moscone Center, Union Square, the Embarcadero, Chinatown, North Beach, and all the nightlife of SoMa -- and just a slightly longer walk or quick light rail ride to AT&T Park.
We're near enough to everything that it's easy to get around; but we're a bit tucked away on a small street, so it's quieter, easier to find parking, and a nice refuge at the end of a long day.
San Francisco has the best food in the world, and we've got plenty of places to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner within just a block or two. Let us give you a recommendation to suit your tastes.
We're only minutes walk from Muni, BART, and CalTrain; and we're easily freeway-accessible if you're driving. (There's usually some street parking available in the neighborhood because we're a bit tucked away.)
We recently got a quiet, 10-pound dog, rescued from a shelter. She's a Markiesje -- bred as "a companion dog for Dutch ladies of noble birth" in the eighteenth century -- very gentle and perfectly happy with as much or as little attention as you'd like to give.

Lance and Nils were great hosts. The apartment is very well kept and centrally located in Soma.
Would definitely stay here again!
This place was very clean and comfortable. It was located in a very convenient area, easy to get to many places. Lance and Nils were great hosts, they kept me informed on everything leading up to my stay and were very quiet and respectful of my personal space. I would definitely recommend this place to friends!
I really can't recommend this place highly enough. The apartment itself is beautiful, immaculately clean and filled with art (as promised!) There were clean towels and a chocolate waiting for me on my bed, which was a lovely little welcome. The location is very convenient, close to the Moscone Center and the Bart. Lance and Nils themselves are wonderful hosts, very kind and accommodating but also respectful of my space after a long day at a conference. Their dog is also completely adorable :) If every Airbnb place was like this, I would never stay in a hotel again!
Excellent hosts that were very accommodating with my request for early check-in and late check-out. Perfect location for when you are attending conferences at the Moscone Center.
Great stay, very clean and extremely responsive and helpful hosts. Highly recommended!
It was great, I unfortunately got sick and Lance took good care of me... I was glad I did not stay at a hotel this time...
What a fantastic place in a fabulous city. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about San Francisco and Lance an Nils' great flat. Plenty of space, everything I needed, plus the additional bonus of the wonderful friendly little dog, Blanca. A stones throw away from the Moscone Centre and an easy walk (or great vintage street or cable car ride) away from all the top sites. Great guys, very friendly and with brilliant tips on what to see and where to eat. Highly recommended. Thanks for a brilliant 10 days.
Lance and Nils were the perfect hosts. Nice to talk to, with a lot of good advices. I left my tablet in their place by accident and they were very helpful with helping my to get it back. The location was excellent as well, within minutes to Moscone or public transport.
I stayed at this beautiful apartment of Lance and Nils for 5 nights and I must say that it is by far my most favorite AirBNB experience. The whole place was very nice and clean. The bedroom got a lot of natural light. The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. And the apartment is located within an easy walk from Union Square, Ferry Building, AT&T park, and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. As soon as my booking went through, Lance and Nils were very quick at replying my emails and they even shared their list of favorite restaurants with me. Overall, I'll definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who plans to visit San Francisco.
It was a perfect place to stay in San Francisco. Clean and comfy loft owned by nice hosts! Thank you once again!
