The Space

A great offer for this fabulous location near mid levels.

This Open Studio offers a large comfy double bed, FREE Wifi, hair dryer, large LCD TV with entertainment DVD system. The building has an elevator direct to the apartment with just a few steps to the lobby area.

Located on Third Street in a laid back area and has rapidly become a hip area hosting many of the city's most creative types, it takes 5 minutes/$3 USD cab ride or 15 minutes by foot to Central. There is a 7-11 convenience store just across the street. The area is a melting pot of East meets West, with older chinese traditional buildings being surrounded by high end new luxurious developments with new restaurants, nice coffee shops, banking, shops popping up all the time.

Transport is very easy through the nearby tram, buses and minibuses. Of course, the taxis in Hong Kong are most convenient and very cheap compared to other big cities like New York and London.

Guest Access

Guests have access to:
- FREE WiFi
- Cable TV
- Hair Dryer
- Iron/Ironing Board
- Microwave, Hot Water Boiler, Cooker
- Towels, Sheets, Toilet Paper, Shampoo, Soap, etc.

Interaction with Guests

As much as possible or invisible if you want. I will try to meet with arriving guests and show them the area. Whenever guests need information or recommendations, I am always available via messaging or phone.

The Neighborhood

The Sheung Wan neighbourhood is ever changing and a fantastic mix of "old' and "new" Hong Kong. This apartment is located in the heart of Hong Kong's commercial, cultural and shopping districts and within short walking distance to the subway and HK Macau Ferry Pier. A few minutes walk away from the harbour front and the fantastic Sun Yat Sun Memorial Park and Public swimming pool over look the world famous Victoria Harbor.

Getting around

Buses, Trams, Minibuses and taxis are near by on Bonham Rd or down on Des Voeux Road West, any of these conveniently take you through Central and all other parts of Hong Kong like Causewaybay, Wan Chai, the exhibition center and beyond.

Other Things to Note

Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.

  • As mentioned in other reviews and as shown in the pictures, the studio is small but it was more than enough for my one-week stay in Hong Kong. The apartment was very clean. The bed is quite soft. The location is good, in a quiet street - good for sleeping - but very close to Hollywood Road area with restaurants, bars, art galleries and little shops. It is also close to the main shopping streets and to Central. Contact with Jason was smooth and he was easy to reach for questions. Overall, a positive experience in Hong Kong!

  • Jason apartment is small (As most apartment in Hongkong) but cosy. The bed is very comfortable.

The area is nice. Not too central but also not too far (10' walk) from Hollywood road and other animated areas. There is also several nice restaurants around.

  • Loved the place, the bed is very comfortable, the building is clean and quite and the street has tons of shops. You can walk to Sheung Wan (email hidden) or take a taxi to Soho... you can also see Victoria Harbor from the kitchen!

Jason (email hidden) and his mom even met me when I arrived.

I will definitely stay here again!

  • Jason's apartment worked out great. My son was a guest student at Hong Kong University, and had a 5-month stay there. Jason (email hidden). He was responsive, helpful, friendly, and he showed a consistent willingness to go above and beyond in order to make my son's experience in Hong Kong a positive one.

The apartment itself is small (this is Hong Kong) but very serviceable. It has all the basic amenities and is very comfortable. It is also extremely well located, especially for its proximity to the University and to lots of services and entertainment options.

  • I had a great stay. The room is as bright and clean as you see in the pictures. Jason's great communication made the whole arrival process go smoothly.

The bed is nice and soft (many beds in Asia are quite hard).

The only challenge for me was fitting my 6'2" body into the tiny shower.

  • We had a good time in Hong Kong and in his flat. It was very easy to get the key and everything went well.
Always when I wrote Jason an E-Mail he immediately answered and he was very nice to us, which was very much appreciated from my boyfriend and myself.

  • I had an excellent stay at this apartment. The host is extremely helpful and knowledgable about the (website hidden) are true to the unit, which is located in an up-and-coming neighborhood of Hong Kong - allowing for a glimpse of authentic life in the area. Unit is clean, safe, and a very short $4-5 cab ride to Central. I'd recommend this unit (email hidden) to stage business or pleasure in HK.

I've made many friends across the globe and look forward to visiting them each time I'm back in the region. I've called Hong Kong my home for the past 30 years, this is absolutely a brilliant little place with so much local flavor and western influences in this Chinese city. I look forward to meeting lots of overseas friends and pointing out the many local favorites so every visitor has a chance to experience the best of this great city. Happy travels! Jason
