Corkonians are a super friendly/laid back city full of giggles, sport, live music, hands down scrumdilicous food & plenty of history, we may be a tad stubborn, we like to talk a lot & are insanely proud of our Irishness! We even have our own PROC (peoples republic of Cork)

The space
I love where we live, we are 15 minutes from the city and 15 minutes from the countryside perfectly balanced. Its on several bus routes than take you right through the city. Douglas village is ten minute walk and has plenty of shopping centres, plus some pub and grub options there's always live music in the village. But if something more lively you crave then the city is 20min bus ride on 216 or 220. Probably best to get taxi from the airport! We are immensely proud of our city so depending on work commitments we would be delighted to show you round. Breakfast is included, as is towels and toiletries. And if you require dinner no problem just let us know & we'll sort you out.

Guest access
You are more than welcome to the kitchen, dining room and tv room. Given the ongoing CoVid19 Pandemic we ask that you sterilise any high contact areas, along with the bathroom and kitchen after each use! In your room we provide disposable masks, personal hand sanitizer, shower gel, shampoo and soap! We purchase new set of towels, facecloth, hand and bath towel after each guest. If we aren't working, we would love to hang out & have dinner with you. Breakfast in our house is either cereal, porridge, tea/coffee, toast or eggs, we will show you everything never fear.

We live in a housing estate so the neighbourhood is full of kids playing on the street all the time. We are about 15mins from the beach and 15/20mins from town.

Hi I’m Sonja, my husband Naoise & we are “lucky” to have three girls aswell as our Rescued Puppy Mr Rashers who is generally nervous around guests, he spends his days in our garden & nights indoors. We have received one negative review in five years and 55 guests. But like every situation there are two sides to every story. I was raised to believe “if you don’t have something nice to say then say nothing at all” An intro to our girls & Mr Rashers and it won’t be long til ye are best friends. We live in a quiet neighbourhood with two City Centre buses running from our door. We love welcoming guests of different background and cultures into our home. We will gladly share all our tips and secrets to our wonderful little City! Hi

During your stay
My husband works full time but occasionally makes an appearance, I do work part time but would be home by six thirty. There's always someone here even if it's my mum minding our girls. We would aim to have dinner most evenings, depending on the day of the week school runs have us up at 7am & at the weekends we tend to sleep late but breakfast is always there when you wake.
