Interaction with Guests
We enjoy meeting new people and welcoming them to Montreal. In the summer we always invite our guest to join us and our friends for BBQ when we fire up the grill.
As we are just upstairs if a guest should have any questions about the city we are always there to help.
The room listed will only provide accommodation for up to two people. See my second listing at the same address for reserving additional accommodations if you are more than 2 people.
there is absolutely NO SMOKING in the apartment.
I stayed at Tasha's for 10 nights and it was overall a good experience. They had just move into their new house so the first days were kind of a mess, although, the rooms where in great condition and she was doing her best to make my stay the best.
She told us that she is moving on our arrival date but she told us our room will be set up at the evening. When we arrived the room was empty expect of the bed frame. And you couldn't really use the bathroom. Also the room was complet opposite of the room what we booked. We lived in the basement without a window. No kitchen, No WiFi. Barely no dishes we could use. And we saw an ants in the room. We moved out after one night..actually we booked 3 nights. But she charged us only for the one night which was fine. But we have to say that Tasha in person is nice
As she said I informed her prior to her booking that we would be moving at the time of her booking. Unfortunately the movers we hired got over booked and bumped us the day of our scheduled move so as a result thier room and the intior lower level in-Law suit along with the main level were not set up on time. We were able to get the beds transfered over by the evening but the remaining furniture and essincial things didn't get moved until monday, two days later :-( when the movers were finally able to move us. It was stressful for everyone and completly Unexpected. We apologize for the inconvenience but it was completely out of our control.
The room and apartment were both larger than I expected and very clean. The appartment was a short walk from the Vêndome subway station, the bus stop and the restaurants and bars on Sherbrooke. My boyfriend and I had the place to ourselves for most of our stay, which was nice. My boyfriend was disappointed we never met tasha, because he enjoyed the chemistry jokes she'd scattered about the apartment.
If you do stay at tashas, make sure you get breakfast at the Oxford café nearby.
I enjoyed my stay at Tasha's apartment. I felt at home. Thanks Tasha.
Tasha was not in town and her friend Elodie hosted me. The apartment is about a 10min walk from the metro. The place was very very clean. The room looked exactly like the pictures. However, the apartment is above a bar. It did not bother me at all, but if you are a light sleeper, I can see how it can be a nuisance at night. To get downtown or to old Montreal, it is a quick 10-15 min train ride. Tasha was very responsive to my messages and very helpful.
My experience at Tasha's apartment was enjoyable due to her friend who was looking after her apartment, Elodie.
Elodie was very welcoming and made my stay very comfortable, she was very helpful accommodating my needs, her child was a delight also and was very social and friendly.
The downside to my whole experience was the way Tasha spoke to me via messages, she wasn't friendly or welcoming when I arrived and was very formal and rude on the day I arrived stating rules and agreements without even welcoming me to her apartment and being a gracious host, luckily Elodie was there to be the host Tasha was not but it did dampen my arrival to have such messages on my arrival and I could have done without the rudeness as she is not there she can only assume what is happening, so she should be nicer to her guests and ask in such a way.
Overall Elodie and the apartment itself were lovely (except the leak in the bathroom)
As she stated we where away during her stay. My messages to her where as such because of the unexpected information in her last message on the day of her arrival. Where she indicated the arrival of an additional friend, which was not part of our agreed discussions prior to her arrival. As this is my home and my friend is doing me a favor house sitting for us. News of a last minute guest being added with out my prior knowledge is NOT going to be recived warmly. As my friend has a young child I take it very seriously that my guest communicate with me up front who they are and the nature of their visit. i want to be sure that my friend feels confortable with the arriving guest. My bluntness was not to be rude but to be very clear.

About the Host, Tasha
As my students would say, " She smells like cookie dough and Versace" . I am warm and sweet with elegance.
If you don't believe me ask my charming down to earth husband Gergely.
We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Montreal.
