Interaction with Guests
We enjoy meeting new people and welcoming them to Montreal. In the summer we always invite our guest to join us and our friends for BBQ when we fire up the grill.
As we are just upstairs if a guest should have any questions about the city we are always there to help.
The room listed will only provide accommodation for up to two people. See my second listing at the same address for reserving additional accommodations if you are more than 2 people.
There is absolutely NO SMOKING in the apartment, and no burning of incense or candles either.
Out of curtesy to other guest all cookware and dishes need to be cleaned immediately when you are done.
Tasha was so friendly and if you need to know the best places to eat you definitely have to ask her ! I would recommend to pay for parking because we didn't notice a sign on the street that said certain days you can't park and we got a ticket. But even though t wasn't Tasha's fault she didn't charge us for parking in her spot afterwards. She is a very kind person. The rooms were good enough for us because we were usually out for 12 hours of the day exploring and just needed a place to sleep. Very short bus ride to the station and very close subway rides if you want to go to old montreal or china town. And only 15 minute bus ride to get to St Joseph church on Mount Royal. The only thing I would say is that there is a door separating our room and the next room that has a large gap. And a window on the other side of the room from another persons bedroom. So at night time if both people are awake your room is very bright from their bedrooms. So I recommend maybe a sleeping mask if you need darkness to sleep. But it was worth the price it was clean, Tasha was very friendly, and it's close to everything!
asha wasn't there to welcome my partner and I, but her partner was there to welcome us in. He was very nice.
I didn't really feel that the pictures matched what the place looked like in person. I also wished that there would have been some mention in the ad of a small child living upstairs who we could hear crying or yelling. We could also hear their baby-sitter playing videogames (or watching a movie) pretty loudly at around 11pm when we were getting ready for bed. You can hear every little thing, for example, we could hear EVERYTHING the airbnb people were saying next to our room, and they were whispering! That's how thin the walls are. Needless to say, we did not sleep well. The bed and sheets were kind of awful, very old and rough. We ended up leaving the next day and staying at a hotel and I had booked for us to stay for two nights.
So, you get what you pay for, I guess.
This guest never spoke with us to let us know they were having any issues. This is our Home not a Hotel and as such the sound of a child or a TV are normal to hear in a home. All 4 of our other guest where very happy. Had this guest spoke with myself, my husband or our Au pair we may have been able to address their issues but as they did not speak with any of us we could not help them. I strongly fee that this guest does not understand the spirt of airbnb. "That to stay in an airbnb home is not to stay in a hotel but to stay with a family." If they were looking for a luxury hotel stay then they should have stayed in the Hilton or the W Hotel and paid over $400 a night and they could have had all the un-personal, cold, and luxury service that they wanted.
Tasha was easy-going and accommodating for us. It is a great area to stay in, and easy to access by public transit. Comfortable and clean!
Tasha was very helpful to explain where to start touring Montreal and provided maps of the metro. Room was clean, no frills; you get what you pay for.
Tasha was very welcoming and the room is quite nice. Her little boy is very cute. ALSO! Thanks to her laundry service (v. affordable) I was able to come home with my laundry done. It was easy to get in and out .
Great place and hosts! Great location, just 20 min metro ride to downtown with plenty of food and store options nearby. The place has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. I enjoyed my time here, will stay again on my next visit!
The Host wasn't home but had someone there that took care of everything. She gave me the whole tour, accommodated me. She informed me on how to get to my course, how the dixi bikes work, how the Metro system works. I'm thankful :)

About the Host, Tasha
As my students would say, " She smells like cookie dough and Versace" . I am warm and sweet with elegance.
If you don't believe me ask my charming down to earth husband Gergely.
We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Montreal.
